The Kings and Mikki Moore have reached an agreement on a contract! "We're really excited to come to an agreement with Mikki Moore," Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie said. "He brings athleticism, length, skill and experience to our team and we're looking forward to watching him play fro the Kings." Kings.com
Well that was an odd choice. I guess the price was right.

Yea it is odd...More than likely they are going to dealth either Rahim, Miller or Thomas (thinking that they would keep Hawes). The two I think they are more than likely to leave would be Miller and/or Thomas. I'll be looking forward to see how well Moore plays without a true PG though.

Mikki Moore has one fairly productive year with one of the best distrubutors in the league and all of a sudden he thinks he's the shiznit and refuses the Nets' contract offer.

Don't you dissin' Moore. He's the bomb. I can't wait when he goes up against Joakim Noah.
Kenny Thomas is probably the one that will be dealt. Miller and Shareef are starter material.

I can't believe he finally got a bit of loyalty from an NBA team and chose to not re-sign with them.

nooo why mikki
after his best career season with the nets he leaves, but maybe this could help save jason collins' career

if Mikki Moore is worth $6 mill a year, I know Darko is worth $7 mill per year....I like Mikki & always thought he was underrated, but I think they've overpaid for him....I don't see how this helps the Kings, but we'll have to wait & see I guess....

That's par for the course when it comes to big men these days. It's not too bad so long as he doesn't regress to D-League form but it's more than a lot of teams would probably have thrown at him had he waited on a deal. As funny as it was to read that he was somewhat insulted by the Nets' offer, I guess you can't fault him for taking the best deal out there. If a team wants to overpay a player like Moore, it's on their head.

Yay! Nets can't get him now!
Sorry...still sore about NJ beating Toronto in the playoffs. He was pretty good in that series. Not Vince Carter good, but good enough.

Maybe, but I dont think he's gonna improve that much, OK defender who can score a bit, but really sucked in the playoffs. Now they added Magloire, he might getthe ball in the post a bit more.
On topic: Since Moore is a C, its safe to say that Spencer Hawes can say hello to NBDL.

I'm pretty sure Moore is more of a PF in the first place. The dude is skinny as shit and faster than a regular C.

Agreed, Moore seems to be more suited to power forward. I expect Brad Miller will hold onto the starting job at centre heading into the season with Moore starting at the four and Hawes coming off the bench, at least while Miller's health and production remains steady.

Still, Moore isn't gonna be a starter under Theus. If Shareef stays healthy, Mikki is gonna be his back-up, sharing back-up time with Kenny Thomas.

So what you are saying is that Mikki is going to start.

^^
I think Shareef isn't much better then Mikki, but imo Abdur-Rahim will start more games then Moore.

Here's the thing, everyone (on the internets...and in the media) keeps talking about how Moore "had one great contract year" but it's entirely untrue. Moore's year last year was in line with his career, he just got a ton of minutes because of the Krstic going down. He did well in Utah and Los Angeles three and two years ago. His Seattle year a year ago was a bust, but it was also the worst year of his career. The reason Moore had been pushed out of the league after Detroit was because of his size, but with all the defensive changes this century he now can function in the league quite well.
