If you are going to play hughes put him on Bowen so he dont have to defend much, then on offence Bowen will most likely move to Lebron when the cavs have the ball. I also thought Ilgauskas was playing good defence on Duncan one on one...im suprised he didnt get more minutes. He did look a bit slow sometimes though, which didnt help in getting rebounds. Plus i think that lineup would be good because both Lebron or Gibson can create plays while both can spot up shoot if the other is creating along with pavlovic who has impressed me in game 1. Gooden and Big Z should work harder on the boards.

i agree.. :D

i think game 2 will be a lot closer, although I would like the Cavs to win i think the Spurs will pull it out. Cavs need to win Game 2 or 6 at SA and take care of home court to have any chance to win.

I don't see Cavs winning game 2; or even coming close. This whole series will decide on the 3 games in Cleveland.

The Cleveland Cavaliers suck. I'm not a Spurs/Pistons fan. I'm actually a Cavaliers fan (more like LBJ fan) but it will take a miracle for them to win this series, let alone one game. I hope I am totally wrong.

From the coach to the 12th man, they suck. Gibson is probably the only one who can become a good role player. (Plays well with LBJ)

Big Z - time to retire, he's too slow even though he has a good stroke from the midrange.

Gooden - very low IQ player and very inconsistent. I can never understand how he plays. He's Mr. I want to do everything... in a bad way. (There is a very good reason West let him go even though he got drafted fourth)

Snow - what defense, he's just physical. No shot.

Verajao - flopper, i just want to smack this guy when I see him rebound/steal and tries to lead the fast break.

Hughes - overrated 'midrange shooter' & 'defender'. He got his money.

Marshall - ......... 3pt shooter.... who can't shoot.

Jones - ... should have stayed in Miami

Pavlovic - good athleticism, average basketball IQ, sometimes make the stupidest mistakes you just want to kick your TV.

Mike Brown - good defensive coach... probably just an assistant at best. But he does one thing very well, calling time outs even when he doesn't need to...

Now I'm becoming a Cleveland hater.

I'll say this for LBJ since he's too nice to say it, his teammates suck.

Go James Go!!

Btw, they are down 49-27.

What a whooping.

Cavs have lost this game in the first quarter due to the 2 fouls on Lebron and Coach Brown not "atleast" waiting for him to pick up his third, also Varejo is a world class flopper, who is Tony Parker's 175 lb frame going to knock down, great blocking call by the refs (lol) J/k

Wow this is a beat down i haven't seen in a long time in the Finals...i don't think even the Bulls dominated 2 games like this. 33 points at half? That has to be some kind of record.

Bron sitting out basically the 1st quarter w/ 2 fouls was mind boggling. Just have him guard Bowen? Or go to a zone? Does Cleveland ever practice the scenario where Bron is in foul trouble? C'mon, a good college coach would have his team prepared for his.

I bet all those sports writers who wrote the Witness, Coming of LeBron, the next Great One, Start of LeBron Era articles are already working on their Bron hate articles.

By the way, if I was LBJ, I'd opt out as soon as I can. Cleveland has no resources to improve their team. They don't have any draft picks, nor any CAP space to sign any free agent.

Come on, who's going to be LBJ's Pippen? They wasted so much money on Hughes who gave them nothing in return but injuries and heartless play.

Well Lebron will have to pull a miracle out of his arse if the Cavs are to get back into this series, let alone game 2. Getting absolutely spanked right now. The Big 3 for the Spurs are all having good games (Duncan, Parker, Manu).

Hopefully the Cavs at least make the second half interesting and get some momentum going into game 3. Guess we shall see.

I was stunned by that move...who runs the GM office in that town? They had the right idea by setting aside that money for Ray Allen, but when Ray resigned they just gave the Ray Allen money to Hughes, who just does not play in the same league as Ray.

And extending Ilgauskas long term? Nuts.

Bron says he wants to eventually be a GM one day, i hope he starts taking over some duties early.

well, they wanted to copy San Antonio's model......

COME ON!!!! give me a break. first of all, lets say we cancel out Duncan and James (although we all know that Tim Duncan is much more valuable right now) Cavaliers will still get the ass whooping they are getting right now.

Danny Ferry is the GM. What the hell. they have no player close to Manu's game.. maybe Verajao because they both are good at flopping.

the commentators just summed it up... Spurs players have good IQ and they have heart. Cavaliers are nowhere near Spurs.

"Spurs players have good IQ and they have heart..."

That is a great and accurate comment. Cavs can't stop one, two or three of the Spurs best players and the Cavs only have one guy who can create and cause problems for the Spurs so shut him down a bit and that's it. This series was over when the Cavs won the East, Cavs will put up a fight in Game 3 and still lose in the end and this will rap up in Game 4 or 5 in Cleveland. Clevealand fans enjoy this moment of being in the Finals and watch the Spurs win their fourth title in 9 years and their 3rd title in 5 years.

Gibson is fearless. Lebron should smack Mike Brown and tell him to play Boobie more.

Man.. the Cavaliers are the most frustrating team to watch...

They play like a stupid team the whole game, then when it's too late, they make a fierce run... then when they are close... they just stop playing again. LOL

Wonder who the PG was when the Cavs made their run to cut a 27 point deficit to 8...

Perhaps this certain PG should start Game 3. Then again , it wouldn't matter because whoever Cleveland would put on Parker , Parker would just pwn. Another good shooting night for Mr. Eva Longoria.

They're saying that looking forward, it's good news for SA that the Cavs crushed them in the 4th qt, not too sure why...Going to Clev should be pretty worrying for the Spurs seeing how the Cavs handle the end of each game...I guess even the best teams regularly get sloppy when they have a 20+ advantage...

EVERY time sa gets a big lead against ANYBODY, a good percentage of the time they let them slip back in. i don't know if they're bored or what.

it could be a good thing, because it gives pop something to motivate the boys with. perhaps if they had won by a big margin they would've come into game 3 complacent, who knows.

most teams make a run at the end when down by large margins, the run started when the Spurs starters were on the bench so Cav's players were already in a good rhythm. It's common in the NBA, Finals or not. The fact is the Spurs are a much better team on both ends of the floor. The Cavs will play better at home but the Spurs are a great road team, dn't forget that and will win this series on the road.

Good game for the Spurs...they really crushed the Cavs through out the first 3 quarters...in the 4th Cavs took over...every team gives up leads like that...and yes even good ones...im so confident that my Spurs are gonna win these 2 more games and just sweepin the Cavs....GO SPURS GO !!!

Hmm, yeah I guess that's what the ABC guys meant...
Still, if I was Pop I'd be pretty worried and pissed to see my players turn it over like crazy, forget to defend or rebound, and just play plain sloppy when they're in this situation. It's certainly frustrated as a Spurs fan at least :?
