A bit off-topic, but in the Suns game, why did Phoenix start James Jones over Diaw or Kurt? I mean, Jones is probably the worst of the 4 SF's on the team. I would personally go with the starters: Nash - Bell - Marion - Amare - Kurt to match up against the Spurs.

Considering the fact that Al is both smaller and weighs less, I'm a bit confused about that statement.

Biedrins is also a very good low post defender.

I don't know either of their weights, but Andris looks skinnier than Al to me.

I love how Tony Parker was the one on the ground crying for a couple minutes while Nash is bloody as sin and just walks away from the play. There's the French for ya...

Parker abrley got a bruise on his forehead and is on the ground crying while Nash just walks away acting like nothing wrong. What a warrior, he kept wanting to come back into the game.

Well, when your fiancee is Eva Longoria, you would exaggerate your injury a bit and get some *ahem* special treatment. :hump:
But still tough loss by the Suns. They played hard throughout the entire game and whenever one team started pulling away, the other came right back. And that collision with Nash and Parker turned out to be a lot worse than I expected. Parker was on the floor and Nash was checking on him, but was not even bleeding as bad as he was until a minute or two later.

Wow, not a lot of Spurs fans eh. Tim Duncan is probably the best PF to ever play the game. Yes, perhaps even better than Karl Malone.

I'm totally jocking them to win it all.

Psh, Spurs will toy with Detroit. :P

Hehe, nah, that'll be a fun series to watch. The run & gun style is fun, but give me some old fashioned defense vs defense any day of the week.

I like that Finals to be honest, Detroit is obviously my favorite out East given I've gotten to "know" them over the years, I don't really know the Bulls yet and I don't think the Cavs/Nets have much of a shot.

Biedrins and Boozer play different positions.

And Andris also gets called for the most fouls in the league. But I do agree when he's on the floor, he's a great defender. Being a young player he doesn't get any of the calls.

Andris won't be on the court much anyhow, because Nellie willy probably want to exploit Okur's lack of athleticism with someone who is capable of scoring a lot.

it's too hard to speculate on matchups, Nellie is just crazy and he'll do anything and will make chnages on the fly. Having said that, if Ellis has another bad series, Biedris will get more burn.

That has nothing to do with anything.

If Boozer begins to take over Nelson will have no chance. He'll have to put someone out there that can try and stop him. Biedrins is the only guy that has any chance whatsoever.

That guy with the sign is an asshole. Jackson almost collided with the kid and shares a laugh with him while the guy sitting right next to the kid holds a sign saying,"Jackson, the league could use another 50,000."

Flip Saunders coaching has been excellent in the playoffs. I like how he started Game 1 and then changed up in Game 2. Rasheed just looks focused....when he's posting up he can get a lot of easy baskets. This season he's played some of the best D of his life too!

Smallball ran into a wall against Utah it seems.

Utah had 54 rebounds, Boozer had 10 offensive boards himself. AK blocked 7 shots.

How about the cavs trouncing new jersey (19-3 offensive rebounds I think)
LeBron had 36 points and 12 assists.
All 5 starters had 10+ points.
The cavaliers lead 2-0 against NJ, looking to advance to the conference finals for the first time in a long time.

This year cleveland is much more of a threat because even if LeBron has a slip up, the team still wins, where as last year LeBron was the team.

I think they should give detroit a run for their money!

yeah, but they'll probably get it back by winning 2night and one in SA

I agree about Duncan. I respect him and Horry. However,I'm not rooting for SA because of the rest of the roster. TP and Ginobili are the most painful to watch backcourt in the league. I mean, come on... the flopping is ridiculous.

Never been a fan of Francisco Oberto combo either, but I won't tolerate Parker and Manu.

I'm also sick of them winning it all every other year and their boring style of play. Go Suns! And if they fail, come on Detroit!

*fun fact* In the past 4 years, (TP, Manu, Duncan winning titles every other year era) both times SAS was eliminated was in series where they won Game 1.

Bruce Bowen kicks Amare Stoudamire

Wow. It looks like a deliberate kick to me.

I think it was deliberate. Heres what Amare had to say:

Arizona Republic -
Amaré Stoudemire called the Spurs a dirty team and directed most of his words towards Bruce Bowen and Manu Ginobili.

"It was a wide-open play," he said. "I saw the replay and Bruce Bowen came up behind me, measured his feet and kicked me purposely in the back of my Achilles. That was a dirty play.

"I hope the NBA looks into in and takes a look at Bruce Bowen. In Game 1, I told Bruce to calm down because he might get somebody hurt out there. He had a 'don't care' type of attitude. And it showed in Game 2, when he kicked me purposely in my Achilles. I almost came down wrong and he almost caused an injury. He's known for doing that. I just hope the NBA and the commissioner takes a look because it's definitely a dirty play and that's not something we need."

Stoudemire said he had told Bowen to "Calm down" in Game 1, because he felt Bowen was playing recklessly.

"He was just kind of out of control," Stoudemire said. "I mean, Bruce Bowen's normally under control, but he ran directly into me. I said, 'Man, you're going to get somebody hurt out here. He was like, 'Shut up." I was like, 'Man, I'm just giving you some cautions. You're going to get somebody hurt.' But he wasn't hearing it. . . . Bruce Bowen, who's a two-time champion, should have more class than that."

Stoudemire was upset with Ginobili for grabbing his knee while falling. He said Ginobili had kneed him in the crotch earlier this season.

"The Spurs are a dirty team," Stoudemire said.
