Just looking at each player's career highs can tell you a little about that; Kobe's career high is 81 and Jordan's is 63.

tracy murray career high = 50

I believe his carreer high is 69 (regular season) but i think his playoff high is 63
:) I think Kobe is capable of breaking that this playoff year.

Jordan scored 63 points in regulation of that game. I didn't count the OT pts because Kobe scored all of his in regulation. That's why I say 63. And the only reason Thompson and Robinson ever scored 70 was because guys were feeding them the ball trying to get them to win the scoring title for that year. Both of those guys were great scorers, but not over the course of their career. Jordan maintained a very high scoring average. I think Kobe can get close to that if he continues doing this for seven more years.

Intimidation factor, is another reason why Kobe is not MJ. Everybody respected MJ from teammates, coaches and opposition as well, and if they did they will get their ass handed like this.

You just gotta love Michael Jordan's attitude after the dunk.

I think Stephen Hawking is capable of breaking that the way this league referees "defense".

That video bb linked above reminded me what 80s defense looked like, every game, every night, every play.

That's a fair point but no matter how you want to look at the situation, he scored 69 points in that game and that's what goes in the record book as his career high. Should Kobe's 65 point performance against the Blazers back in March (the first of the four straight 50+ games this season) also receive an asterisk because it came as the result of nine overtime points?

its silly to think that jordan could not score just as well as kobe. early in his career all he wanted to do was score, then he grew up and realized you need a team to win. kobe needs to learn when to take over and not try to do it the entire game.

After the dunk, MJ came to the fallen Knicks players and talked smack to them?

Nice.

Hate Kobe,MJ is the best player ever.Kobe dont play that good as MJ played.Jordan was wining with Bulls and Kobe cant do enything in playoffs without Shaq.Look at Odom he is very good player, look how he played in Miami in 2004 season, but now, with Kobe he is just ordinary player
