Do you mean NBA TV Broadband as in just all the highlights and stuff on NBA.com or NBA League Pass?
Cause NBA TV Broadband is available everywhere and League Pass only in the U.S

Every NBA Finals game and every Conference Finals game; I'm not sure which conference but I have a feeling TNT is doing the West again this year so it'll probably be the East, unless ESPN Australia is going to alternate every year and rebroadcast the TNT games as they do from time to time during the Playoffs.

Sun Apr 29, 2007 2:04 pm

Did anyone else watch Nuggz v Spurs this morning? Cause bloody Foxtel stuck a long add break on a 20 second time out, right in crunch time with 20 seconds left in the 4th, comes back on and Nuggets have scored and Manu is shooting 2 :x with 4 seconds left.

Fucking dick heads

Sun Apr 29, 2007 8:44 pm

I saw it. Not the first time they've done it and I'm sure it won't be the last. Yet another gripe in a growing list concerning their playoff coverage this year.

Sun Apr 29, 2007 8:47 pm

ViperTV fell out right in the middle of the game. So yeah, I wouldn't really be complaining about an overlong break. :P

Well i would be. How much did you pay for Viper TV? nothing.
How much are we paying for Foxtel $80, so i'd expect the Foxtel's coverage to not make stupid mistakes like that, whereas Viper TV...

I'm pretty disappointed with playoff coverage....you expect to get about twice as much playoff coverage as regular season coverage....if we forget Fox Sports which was a bonus & concentrate on ESPN, we run on about 2 games a week for the season....we should be getting 4 games a week in playoffs, with Conference Finals & NBA Finals, being all the games....you don't see them not showing UEFA Champions League games, do you?!?

Due to lack of coverage, I've only seen 1/2 game this playoffs, the Rockets vs Jazz, game 1....not good....of course I've missed one or two, but not good....

Fri May 04, 2007 2:42 pm

we've had
Game 1 Rockets Jazz
Game 3 Suns Lakers
Game 3 Spurs Nuggets

that's pretty shitty.

Fri May 04, 2007 4:40 pm

It seems that the game tomorrow (which would've been Raptors/Nets Game 6) will not be shown; in fact, there's not a game scheduled for the next two weeks, which is just pathetic. If they're going to insist on raising the price every year, the least they can do is maintain the quality. Their coverage of the Playoffs, or rather the lack thereof is inexcusable.

Hardly surprising, given that we havent seen the Raptors all season. Why start now when the games ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING?

For fuck's sake, this is a complete joke.

Is there anything that we can do? Letters? Mailbombs? Nudey runs?

Fri May 04, 2007 5:07 pm

I'm thinking letters should be written as this is just disgraceful. Surely it can't hurt to voice our disapproval, it's just a matter of directing it to the right place.

Fri May 04, 2007 5:14 pm

Individually, you reckon? Or should we get a large group of us to do something about it.

The only address i can think of is the one that goes into the monthly subscriber mag, which would be pointless, cause they wouldnt print it (especially mine).

EDIT: Instant research:

I think something like that is going to be much more effective, there's a similar facility on the ESPN International website as well. I can't help but think a letter to the editor of the subscriber magazine is just going to result in some smarmy comment about people not caring about basketball (though I'd be inclined to pass such as response onto another Foxtel department as a further example of my disappointment with the handling of the situation).

I'm not sure what the best approach would be. Complaints from all of us would certainly reinforce the idea that there's a few people who are genuinely disappointed with the situation though perhaps a well-worded complaint from a group would get the message across just as strongly.

Fri May 04, 2007 5:26 pm

What have they put on instead of the nets/raptors? more baseball? Or darts?

Fri May 04, 2007 5:33 pm

Baseball, UEFA and Euroleague Basketball occupy the timeslots tomorrow that would generally be reserved for NBA games. Meanwhile on Fox Sports, it's golf, NASCAR and boxing.

Fri May 04, 2007 5:45 pm

well that just sucks ass.....no NBA for 2 weeks? that means no Rnd 2 at all. Heads need to roll for this.

Sat May 05, 2007 10:26 am

There's a few second round games scheduled, a couple of game threes and a couple of game sixes (if necessary). By two weeks I meant nothing this week and nothing scheduled until next Saturday...though who knows the way they've been handling the coverage so far.

Sat May 05, 2007 11:29 am

WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT FUCKING BASEBALL

Sat May 05, 2007 11:59 am

Fucken hell, turn on the TV this morning to see not Basketball but Soccer :x
This is absolute shit, cause i cant watch the games on the net cause im at school, so no basketball except torrents, but that's 3 days to late

Tue May 08, 2007 7:28 pm

Don't know if anyone's noticed but we've got a game lined up for Saturday and Sunday now (Y)
We'll have to be getting Utah vs GS on Saturday, cause that's the only game on Saturday and on Sunday we've got Spurs vs Suns, which is better than the NJ v Cle game (Y)
Looks good :D

Tue May 08, 2007 9:11 pm

Maybe my message to the programming people worked. I said I was highly disappointed with the lack of coverage, from 3-to-4 games per week during season to 1-2 games per week during playoffs, if we were lucky. I said I only have Foxtel for college hoops and NBA, and if they weren't going to show it, maybe I should reconsider my subscription.

Please note that I think my message to the programming department didn't help, it's merely a coincidence

Tue May 08, 2007 9:57 pm

Unfortunately those two games have been scheduled for a few weeks now, good to know they're still going to be shown. Still, you'd think Bulls/Pistons game three would be shown here this Friday, considering it's an ESPN broadcast.

Let me know if you get a reply X, I haven't fired off an email of my own but I'm still tempted to once I find the right words to express my disappointment without sounding like some of the jerks I have to deal with at work. ;)
