Opinions are my own.

It's still a bit early for NBA Live 08 news and previews based on previous years.

There's a still a Current Gen development team so I'd say there will be a PS2 version.

I would hope the major issues from NBA Live 07 have been corrected but it would seem unlikely that we'll see anything too revolutionary in the CG version.

So the XBox360 has internet connection, right?? so with live 07, can you connect to the internet and get roster updates from there?

The E3 expo is still around, just in a slightly smaller scale. This year it'll be held from the 11th to the 13th of July (in Santa Monica), so I think we can expect some info by then at least.

Technically yes, but I don't think EA released any updates this year

Will there be a PC version of NBA 08?. If there is a PS2 version. There should be a PC right.

Here's a pseudo-update.

http://odeo.com/audio/6414483/view

Live developer Q&A being real about Live 07, what is going on, and how they want to improve Live 08. He also talks about the PC version and that they are glad that we can mod the game, but that is not the reason they are making the game. He also said that they struggle with the Pc version "stuff". He said that he could go thw way 2k goes and not release a pc version, which wouldn't make us happy, but at the end of the day they are not going to spend alot of their resources building a pc version the way we like, their focus is on the console. He sais there are still pieces from "Lakers vs Celtics" floating around in the current gen version. He also said that the NBA mandates the shipping date.

So there will be no NBA 08 in PC? That will be sad to those people who can't afford Next-Gen consoles and just play Live in PC just like me.

It's understandable that they will focus more towards the next-gen(console) Live editions. However, after reading couple of rewievs(i havent even saw or tried to play next gen Live 07 yet), impressions werent very good.It seems like both editions suffer from similar odd physics, unrealistic moves and gameplay issues that make Live arcade when it should be simulation(on paper).
For PC, hopefully that Games for Windows thing will soon become base for Live franchise. We'll see.I'll probably buy a next-gen console sometime during this year, but as a things are going, 2k8 will be my first choice.Live has just gone way too south for me.I'll give it a try, but only after renting it or something.

if live 08 is good or bad, im prolly still gonna buy it cause its live, its what i do every year, i hope the stick more to the basics instead of branching even further off into the freestyle superstars like they have in the last two consoles

As far as I'm aware there will be a PC version of the game and it should be safe to assume there will be until we hear otherwise. It would just seem that developing the game for the consoles is the higher priority these days.

It is ok if there is no more Live in current consoles but make 08 in PC great to play. Not like 07 that you need to work hard to be enjoyable

I don't disagree, I prefer playing Live on the PC myself. But it would seem that their priority is developing the game for the Next Gen consoles, which isn't necessarily a bad thing so long as they port that version across once the Current Gen consoles are phased out.

I think the same thing may happen from when the PS1 moved to the PS2. We may have to miss a year of Live on PC before they bring out the next-gen version on PC.

You think Next Gen will come out on PC?

I hope it does, but, I don't have high hopes on Live right now.
