well put it into context, nate and collins were the only guards in the team, marbury and crawford were out as well as francis and Q, and him and nate both played 50 minutes as the only guards in an OT match so you would expect him to perform

Exactly. Nate also had a career-high I think, but that what you expect in that many minutes.

I think the best performance was Eddy Curry´s. Game-tying shot .. 43 points and 13 boards I think. He is definitely da man for the Knicks with Marbury and Crawford out (acutally he is the man when both play, too) and maybe this was the only good decision by Isaiah although they gave up very much for him.

One breakout game doesn't necessarily mean a future breakout season; nor does it necessarily mean he'll have any more breakout games.

right now curry is the man, but during this stretch crawford has been out. when they were playing together crawford was 'THE MAN'
but curry is definitely proving himself as a worthy center.
BUT defence needs improvement.

Mardy Collins is the perfect example of jack of all trades, master of none. He will be a fine rotation player, but nothing more.

Mardy Collins has Reece Gaines written all over him, but I still like guys like Collins who are the typical "jack of all trades master of none" type of player.

To be honest, those stats that Collins put up weren't overly impressive considering the fact that the guy played 51 minutes... I'd be a little more happy for him if he had the same type of scoring production and if he played 20 less minutes. You also forgot to mention that he also had 7 turnovers and shot 6-17 from the field and 60% from the free throw line.

you must remember Kyle Lowry started the season off by having an impressive 12 point, 10 rebound, 1 block performance, along with 6 or 7 assists I believe. He didn't continue that play further into the season.

i dont think there's such thing as a breakout game. that was just a lucky game out of a hundred. same thing with eddy curry's shot to beat MIL a couple of days ago.

I know. But anyone playing well for the Knicks doesnt bode well for the Bulls draft pick. I hate Mardy Collins for his Jordanesque display.

Mardy Collins played a pretty nice game last night too... He had double digit assists. Which is something the Knicks don't see that often.

With Collins and Renaldo Balkmand and David Lee, I think the knicks have some nice young pieces... Channing Frye hasn't really been that good this year... The only problem is the team budget... All these young guys will have to be payed at some point and the team is way-way-way-way-way-way-way over anything sensible in regards to player budget already.

Mardy Collins with 8 starts in april, playing at least 38 minutes in all games.

PPG:15.6
RPG:6.5
APG:6.4
SPG:2.1
TOPG:4.25

In other words, he has been alright for the month of April, actually great for this month, in my eyes hes the rookie of the money, if they give out that award for April. Anyways I doubt he could put up these numbers through a full season, but I'm just putting these stats out so everyone can witness Collins power. Lol.

Those stats are sub-par and not enough considering the 38 minutes of playing time.
