At last.. a contract for Skip!
Too bad the Raptors didn't re-sign him.. Him and Vince could've been smoooth..

Now hope he'll get more playing time with the Heat.
Think he can start over Dwyane Wade?

He might get an opportunity if Wade struggles, but Wade will be given the opportunity to start first.

honestly i dont think wade will be at the pt, he is very talented, but while watching the summer league games, he didnt seem confortable playin point. also he will be seeing a lot of pressure, i see he more of a 2, a mobley typ;e player. Remeber mobley played pt in his rookie yr. the heat are loaded at the 2 guad and 3 spot, They need 2 trade jones imo. I think rafer will earn the pg position. remeber theres still training camp. well see thoo.

I agree with what you are saying with the mobley thing, and that they need to trade Jones. But he still might play point, ya never know.

It's about Wade not Rafer Alston.

Now how would know how he is feeling? How would you come up with this?
Maybe he liked it very much.

Rafer Alston may get a chance to finally do something other than bounce the ball off his ass and take advantage of a bunch of nicknamed no game hoodrats.

This is the same team that signed Anthony Carter and Travis Best.

he didnt look confortable and especially when he was pressed, he turned the ball over, and this is summer league. He may be able to make the transition but not everyone is gilbert arenas. He will get his chance to play point i just think rafer has really improved, and this may be a breakout year for him. or wade will beat him out, only time will tell.

making the transition from college to nba is already hard. PG is prolly the hardest position to learn in the nba. i hope wade succeeds and doesn't have such a hard time adjusting to the pros

btw- arenas was a sg in college and is still learning pg on the fly.

agreed

It's a good move for Miami, if Wade can't handle the PG position...I still think that Miami has too many swingmen...they should look to trade. (Y)

Neither will make it, unless Miami gets a deal off that send Eddie Jones somewhere for a big man. But I figure Cleveland has a better chance since they're swingman are a little worse, but they have Z and Boozer up front, and Diop and Mihm might eventually play well. Better than Grant, Samaki and maybe Stephania.

The East is real weak and I think any team will make playoffs on that conference. Since IMO Nets/Pistons are definately in, that leaves 6 spots. Iverson and the Magic will make it too...four to go, Hornets and Celtics will make it and that leaves two spots...it's all open up in the East....the Heat have a decent roster-they should make it! So do Raptors...they have a chance and so do Wizards...it just depends on the different team's young players...also applies with Cavs...

Cavs need Bron,Z,Boozer to step up...Wizards need Arenas, Brown to step up their games...Raptors need to have Vince and Bosh playing good games and Heat also need Wade, Alston, Butler and other players to step up their game...any team could make the playofs in the East this year...

IMO- the top four East Teams is definately in! They should be Nets,Pistons,Magic and Philly!!!

In conclusion- Cavs and Heat will make the Playoffs depending on how they play...but IMO HGeat have a better chance!

Back to the Topic- good luck to Alston and if Wade doesn't do too well...Alston will take the starting spot...but u gotta admit Wade has got skill! If they trade Eddie Jones for a C then they can open up a SG Spot for Wade and PG for Rafer...

I think the playoffs are still a little out of reach for the Cavs. True, we don't know how good LeBron will be and the East is weak enough for a team with a sub .500 record to make the playoffs, but it will still be difficult for the Cavs to break into the top eight.

And i also think if they trade jones away alston is still not gonna start, they would put Odom at the sf, Butler(Caron) at the SG and wade at the point. I also think the bulls have a shot at the playoffs, and to be honest i hope so :) , i rather dont see the celtics in the playoffs with this team, they wont able to do much anyway imo, and how could u forget about the pacers making the playoffs?!

I think Pacers and Celtics will make it. I'm hoping the Bulls do, I think they'll at least come close. They reached 30 wins last year, they should be able to win 30+ this year too.
