Fans can usually come to accept former rivals on their favourite team. Take Rodman and the Bulls. A hated rival as a Piston, his popularity soared during his tenure in Chicago.

Another example of that is what happened with Cylde Frazier and Earl Monroe playing together.

maybe the others but i wouldnt like the fact of kobe playin in philly, but shaq would b cool (Y) but kobe...no way

Mon Sep 08, 2003 2:34 am

I think most of the Philly fans would like to have Shaq on the Sixers, but they wouldn't accept Kobe. They always boo him.

Mon Sep 08, 2003 3:00 am

That's it, nothing personal. No hard feelings?

lol, why's everyone think I take stuff personally? It's cool dude, I was just clarifying myself, as most people call me a hater. ;)

Oh, and if Kobe went to the Sixers, they fans would love him....if I'm not mistaken, didn't most Laker fans hate Karl Malone because of the Jazz's dominance of the west in the early 90's? They don't have too much of a problem with him now. ;)

Thats because ai and kobe play the same position. Plus, practically everyone in philly hates kobe. What if shaq did?

they would also hate him, cause LA raped them in 2001

Well,Lakers raped everyone in the 2001 playoffs (especially Spurs) they had the biggest win against the Blazers by 18 points (smallest win by 13),against the Kings the biggest win was by 22 points(smallest by 3),against the Spurs biggest win was by 39 points(smallest by 7) and now you can see how well the Sixers played against them! biggest win for the Lakers was by 14 points (smallest of the teams Lakers faced and it wouldve not been 14 points but Sixers were tired of 7 game series against Toronto and Milwaukee+a lot of the guys had little injuries) smallest win by points was by 5 points! if George Lynch wouldve not been injured and Aaron Mckie have that leg and arm injury, the Sixers wouldve WIN!

You keep dreaming ok, you do that (Y).

Who has alot of cap space next year? Cause they could get Kobe as he said he wants to go into free agency.... But I think Kobe will be a Laker4Life.

Mon Sep 08, 2003 5:21 am

As much as I hate it.....but I dont think Kobe will be a Laker after the next season...he wants to lead a team individualy, go after the MVP right now, since he already won 3 championships with Shaq...but now with Gary and Karl in LA, the chances of getting the MVP are even slimmer....but anything can happen

I think it's highly doubtful Kobe would sign elsewhere.

Mon Sep 08, 2003 6:12 am

He does want to go to Jerry West, the Memphis Grizzlies....so he may force a Sign and Trade deal

Mon Sep 08, 2003 6:20 am

I think Bryant's smarter than thinking about leaving LA, wait a few years, maximum of 4 to 5 win another couple of rings (hopefully) and then after Shaq, Malone & GP are gone, let him lead LA.

Kobe has a great relationship with Jerry West, and he'll certainly entertain offers from Memphis, among other teams. However, Kobe also loves playing for the storied Lakers franchise, which is the main reason nearly every prominent basketball analyst predicts he'll ultimately re-up with L.A.

yep,i have a right to :P but it's gonna be weird to see Kobe in diffrent uniform than the Lakers uni...but so long Lakers gonna win 2 in a row.....

Laker haters are sad

they start most the threads, they bring him up in topics about something else, yet us fans get blamed for it.

man stop trying to put down the lakers people....................count the rings

 You act like non-Laker fans are the only ones who bring up the Lakers....what about in talks about, say, the western conference in the playoffs - which the Lakers are in - and then some idiot Laker fan says 'The Lakers 4ever, four-peat, Kobe MVP, count the rings'....don't you think that is kind of annoying? Granted, this post is the worst idea since Greedo shooting first....but come on, you guys bring it on yourself....don't be so damned cocky and sensitive and people wouldn't make posts like this intended solely to rile you Laker fans up....

Thats what i cant believe. Instead of hating the lakers so much to not say a word they create more and more posts and topics about them.

This topic should be locked.

This topic should be locked.

why?

but don't worry, lakers fans, the forum vigilante will handle this

As cocky as you "fucks" ( :P ) would be, while winning rings, You get a thing that you're unbeatable (Your team then) but thats logical...and this year, brought many of us soaring in the skies, back to earth (Y).

I applaud you Shane on your use of a quote from a Kevin Smith film :applaud: Now that I've seen all five of the Jersey Chronicles, I've started doing that in my everyday life too.

;)

You should try to get a hold of the Clerks cartoons, they're quality. Kevin Smith has another movie coming out, Jersey Girl, with Ben Affleck and Jenifer Lopez in it....I dunno, but Chasing Amy kinda sucked with Ben Afleck as the main character, and this one probably will as well...

Wed Sep 10, 2003 1:56 pm

Yeah I've been looking for the animated series. I can't buy it from Amazon since I need the Region 4 format of DVDs, and I haven't seen it anywhere.
