pointing out that other players have done bad things doesnt make what kobe mightve done any better you know. it is incredibly gay that the media did that story about how "you cant expect nba players to be faithful". please. that doesnt make it okay in any way.

plus theres a guy who said why does every thread have to be about the lakers...... well, this thread was made purposefully to be about the lakers, its not like the subject diverted.

this thread is basically an outlet for laker lovers and haters to bitch at each other without leaking it out into other threads. so two thumbs up! :twisted:

if you have anything bad to say about kobe, shaq, or the lakers, dont say it anywhere but here, because otherwise every thread forever will inevitably lead to it anyway :wink:

and laker promoters can bitch back here too!!

Yes, I admire the man, he's the greatest of alltime, I've watched almost all his games, cept for maybe the allstars since ESPN here doesnt broadcast those, I admit he's the BEST Ever, If I turn on the tv, and they are giving a basket ball game of his, I'll surely watch, cuz I'm a great fan of his...

But I dont get, why I cant like the Lakers...while liking Jordan?
I'm not an individual Kobe or Shaq fan, I like the lakers, not because of their players right now, but becuz of their history and everthing...because of the players they've had...and hopefully the greats to come...

A good point? More like a superficial observation skewed by bias and misinformation. It's not like paul_pierce is trying to inform any of us; he's just trying to antagonize Laker fans, nothing more.

He was saying that Shaq was married and cheating on his wife....I said so what, lots of NBA players do it, and Kobe Bryant is first and foremost in my mind because of recent events...

This was my final day of posting for awhile, I am going to Canada away from my dsl for awhile, so as a Celtics fan I thought I would point out the lawless nature of the current lakers players.

Karl Malone's story is just horseshit, I have read how he did nothing for the woman and the child for years.

Larry Bird's daughter last name is Bird and was cared for as long as the mother wanted. She dismissed Bird early on and he didn't forgive her.

He should take better care of her I agree, but it's not the same, it was a child born during wedlock and the girl is not a bastard child.

I know many bastard childern, I am one myself, but my father didn't have $200 Milllion in the bank and still didn't bother to marry my mother.

ect, ect, Gary Payton is not better than a fight in Toronto, it's exactly who he is.

Seeing as I've heard Shaq has kids from women other than his wife, it's a pretty good assumption that he's cheated on his wife, especially when so many athletes in the spotlight do so. Granted, it is stereotyping, but like all stereotypes, this one has truth to it; if it didn't, it wouldn't be a stereotype...and since it's well-founded, why do you have a problem with me saying that Shaq probably cheats on his wife?

I don't think so. This whole thing surfaced during the 98 NBA Finals and the stuff I wrote is not made up. Cheryl Ford would have been born during wedlock but her grandparents didn't approve of Karl Malone so they didn't allow a marriage. Ever since 98, Malone and Ford have been in touch and she has appeared in quite a few Jazz games. This father, daughter duo has a much better than the Birds so I don't see much relevance to your comments about the lawless Karl Malone.

On a side note, enjoy your trip to Canada.

I don't have a problem with your Shaq comment, in fact I agree with you because I know he has children from different relationships. I just didn't like the way you kind of stereotyped the whole thing because what you did is how most sterotypes (much more hurtful than what you said) get started and don't go away. paul_pierce, thanks for pointing out about fox's wife, vanessa williams. my father was at the office, if that is what you'd call it, of penthouse magazine years ago and said he saw her there in a room with a woman who was white, making out and getting high. i wasn't sure he was absolutely right that it was her, but now i guess he was right.
