This is great, you made it to the finals!!!

Even with your tough loss in game 5, you were able to do a huge game 6, great job!!

Tony parker played great, but your Odom-Bryant duo played even better.

A lot of luck for the finals!! (Y)

2007 NBA Finals preview

Image
Who will be the finals MVP?

So here we are, It‘s already June and the 2007 NBA Finals. Yes there has been many surprises, many upsets ,etc. But it all doesn‘t matter now...

So lets get started. To begin with, Lakers, took the Western Conference crown a day ago being only 6th in the west(they were a few wins away from 3rd seed). Yes, It‘s a big surprise that they have beaten the BIG Spurs(71-11). Everyone were sure to see Spurs in the finals, but BANG, Lakers are there. First of all they were only thinking on making the second, which they did very nice against Suns(3rd in west). Then they faced Rockets in the second round, but they appeared to be a lot easier as we all thought. They only won one game against Los Angeles and lost every other. Spurs were the last team to win against to make to the finals. They had won series against Clippers and Mavs pretty easily. Duncan was averaging almost 30 PPG in those series, but after facing the Lakers his points per game fell to 24 or 25. He had a couple of 10-point games and wasn’t looking as himself. Maybe that lead to the 4-2 win against Spurs?

Pistons next… They were… UNBELIEVABLE! After such a tough season, they managed to easily put away Wizards and Bulls beating both teams without any losses, 8-0. Then beating Carter-less Nets 4-1, only one loss. Pistons proved they’re still very, very powerful defensively and offensively, without their Big Ben. Chauncey Billups is looking very hot in this year’s playoffs, averaging almost 25 points and 9 assists per game. Rasheed and RIP are also looking sweet… I’m not surprised Wizards fall out, but beating Bulls(2nd in East) and Nets(1st in East) is madness… If they eliminated such opponents so easily so who can stop them?

PREDICTIONS

Well so far, it looks that Detroit should triumph. They won both of the season games against Lakers, Pistons have the homecourt advantage, they’re pretty much healthy(except Nazr Mohammed) and they didn’t have any tiring series. And for the Lakers, they had a very tiring series against Suns, then had a 5 game series against Houston and a 6 game series against Spurs. Tyrus Thomas won’t show up in the finals, that’s for sure. But Pistons might relax because of this big advantage and that could be deadly for them, but for now, we say it’s gonna be Pistons who will be the NBA champs. Looking at the big comeback against Suns and other great performances by the Lakers makes us wanna say it’s gonna be a seven game series. To sum up, Pistons 4-3 Lakers.

Whoa... I never thought you would make the finals. Now, you have a big choice: Win the title and most likely end it at that, perhaps simming the next... or lose to Detroit and come back in 2008 with a vengeance, though there is a large chance that you won't make it though another 82 game season.

Good luck against Detroit. Try to steal Game 1 or 2, then burn them at home!

Great that you gonna continue this in the next season. I actually very interested in the offseason and what you will change in the team, but now... the finals. Detroit will be hard task, but I won't understand you if you lose, you MUST win.

Pistons lead 1-0

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the Game 1 to the Detroit Pistons. Lakers have one more game to play in Detroit before the 3 games at home.
Pistons weren’t looking a lot better than their opponents, but still managed to gain a 7 point lead ending the first half.
Pistons got off slowly, first of all letting Lakers down the 7 point lead to two. Then later missing four consecutive shots and losing the lead. But Chauncey Billups and Tayshaun Prince woke up their team. Both combined 20 points in the third period and got back their own lead. Pistons cameback, worked defensively and took the lead. They even extended it to 16. Kobe and Lamar Odom were pretty much only players scoring points in the quarter. Pistons held a sixteen point lead heading into the last quarter of Game 1.
Lakers wanted to get back early, but Pistons started the quarter by banging in a trey for the 19 point lead. Lakers felt desperate, but didn’t give up. Kobe and co. Were coming back quickly, but Richard Hamilton got the lead back as soon as they did it. Only when the quarter reached it’s middle, James Posey woke up his team. Lakers fired up and even had cut down Pistons’s lead to 5. But Chauncey Billups and Tayshaun Prince once again showed the power. Pistons suddenly started playing strong defense and Lakers couldn’t do anything about, just missing shots. Pistons added more points to their lead and held it till the last buzzer.

Secure the defensive rebound and you'll have a chance.Work hard in game 2 and take the home games. You should aqcuire a great rebounder in the off-season next to Odom. Kwame + guy = Tyson Chandler for example. You had trouble securing boards through-out this season.. That's what I think..

I don't like Lakers in real life, but to do this dynasty, i like them more and more.. :D

Man I love your pic's! Especially that Kobe at the bottom...

Next game can decide the series. If you lose it will be hard to comeback 0-2. If you win, it's getting very interesting... hope you'll win :D

Oh and do you plan on using the draft patch next season if it comes out before you start it?

Series tied 1-1

The Los Angeles Lakers tied the series with a win against Pistons in Detroit.
Lakers had a great first quarter, winning it by 6, but losing the second by 8 for a 2 point deficit entering the second half of the game.
Lakers got off to a good start, by knocking down 10 points in the first three minutes. But Detroit still was there, they were leading only by two, but Lakers still couldn’t stop their offense. Then at the middle of the quarter, Lakers changed their defense to 2-3-2 shifting zone and that didn’t help at first, but helped in the next quarter. Lakers lost the third period by a single point for a three-point deficit heading into the last period. Lamar Odom collected 13 points in the third period, Maurice Evans added all of his 8.
Lakers’ defensive changes in the third quarter, helped a lot in the last one. Detroit’s offense wasn’t very constant. They trusted only in Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton and for some reason weren’t using Rasheed Wallace(18 points in the first half) at all. Lakers’ offense was led by Odom and Walton. The guys were leading their team very successfully and as further as they were going, the better they were looking. Heading into the last minute, Pistons got a three point lead. Kobe did the job by knocking down a jumper, then stealing the ball and knocking down another one for the 1 point lead, leaving Pistons 30 seconds to go. Pistons choked and lost the ball, Kobe got it. He did his job once again by driving to the hoop and finishing with a tough hand to hand lay-up against Wallace.
Lakers now tied the series and are heading home for 3 straight home games.

yay great win... Now you could end the series at home..still the pistons got 20 Offensive Rebounds again...but you held them to below 28% from the arch that was a good job... I really hope you can take this series home... great pics ain't feelin the third one though :) just a zoom of the fourth i guess that was an accident anyways Good Luck for the next game and take the lead

Wow, youre damn far. Finals !! Very good job, I love it .. havent been around for a longer period and I think I missed a lot (actually I was reading the last pages until now, really cool ;) )

I wish you good luck in your next game. The Pistons are so hard to defend with their two guards who can shoot the lights out ... I hate it. On the other hand their helpside defend is very good. Watch out to keep Rip under 20 and you will win !

I see there will be very hard series for you. It's very good you won the 2nd game in Detroit, because now everything are in your control.

I predict the series will end up 4:3

Sorry if I offended you with the choice comment... I just mean that you could increase thbe difficulty or something because throughout this dynasty, you have gotten better and better at the game and now your team is nearly unstoppable...

Anway, still loving this. Good luck at home... these next 3 are crucial.

buzzy, I doubt it will be so easy :)

hova-, There are many, many keys to the game against Detroit, but probably watching out Rip is the best one ;)

hammertime23, Boy I sure will use it, can't wait to try it out too...

Marquis, I bet it's gonna be a seven game series, but who'll win?

Lamrock13, No, actually you might be right about this... I'll probably change my sliders a bit better for the CPU, cause I'm already playing at Superstart and with changed sliders(jimmy's)

pacers4eva, Always glad to hear your comment :)

Thanks for all the comments guys, I very much appreciate your attention and very happy that this dynasty reached it's 17 page already :)
