Serious? I thought he was great in a lot of the movies I've seen as mentioned by you and Jackal. Not sure why anyone would hate him or his acting, except maybe for his attitude as Pera mentioned or...

I just watched Saw. I fucking loved it. Pretty scary and great plot. It is definitely one of my favorite movies. I thought the acting of that Gordon guy was kind of lame/bad at moments but it didn't take away from the movie. I'm just speechless. Great movie! (Y) (Y)

**spoiler kind of**I couldn't get over how that hot girl didn't shoot that guy. But it didn't matter as that turned out to be quite inconsequential in the long run.

Just saw Reno 911 The Movie. Pretty good. It's pretty much just a hour and a half version of the TV show. Nothing too special but still very funny. 8/10

I heard it wasn't good at all. The movie was basically bad acting (you guessed it, Cage) and while they spent a lot of money on the effects, the movie was basically a cheesy one.

I saw Ghost Rider the other day. cyanide hit the nail on the head.

^^ Of course its good. Its actually awesome one of the best this year.I suggest watching it,if you have it that is.

I watched The Ringer yesterday, staring Johnny Knoxville.A simple typical Hollywood movie with a bad start and a happy ending. The reason I liked it was because of the people shown in the movie. How they struggle, but they can still compete.I've been around such people a lot, because of my brother's condition so I know how hard it is.Amazing how big of a heart those people have. Its not the best movie,Knoxville is full of bullshit at times, but its a time pass movie I guess.

it really is great, one of the best casts you'll ever see assembled. A great storyline, brilliantly written, and completely deserving of the oscar.

The Departed is what Heat was of a few years ago. Two soon to be legends in lead roles. Although Pacino & DeNiro were already legends at the time.

So who should've won best actor: Will Smith or Forest Whitaker?

I agree, Whitaker, just from seeing him in movies like Phenomenon, Panic Room and ofcourse, The Shield.

Will Smith was good in Happyness, no doubt, but I believe Whitaker is just a much more intense actor. That's what I think though, let me see Scotland and see if I still have the same opinion.

I'm actually really surprised The Departed won best picture. Scorcese while he did an amazing job didnt do that much original in that movie. The plot wasnt his, and the directorial things he did were straight cliches that my film teacher would've used for examples of all of his points. now while this isnt mean to take anything away from the flick (i honestly thoroughly enoyed it) im just surprised the academy gave it to him.

goodfellas wasn't even his plot either but that was arguably the best movie in the 90's. i thought departed was solid but to me it seemed like the academy gave him the award for messing up on taxi driver & goodfellas

Good point Gordon, he doesnt tend to be too original with is plots (taxi driver excluded if i'm not mistaken) Gangs of NY- Histroy Goodfellas-that book i cant remember the name of...departed-infernal affairs i believe it was called, aviator-howard hughes' life etc....never really thought about it that way. He's still one of my fave directors just *shrugs* i feel like the academy some years is so predictable and then the next they give it t one just because no one said they woudl (last year Crash is a good example)

Finally caught Clerks 2 today since I bought the DVD. I'd have to put it up there with the original Clerks and Kevin Smith's other Askewniverse movies, it was simply brilliant.

I gotta disagree with you Andrew. Clerks II is hilarious, i cant realy deny it, but its far from the caliber of the first clerks. Its so hollywoodized and completely invalidates the enitre first movie. Of all his characters, these were his best but he forgot who they were while making ths movie. Although i love the LOTR bit and of course the interspecies erotica scenes
