This year, i wouldn't be surprised if anybody wins the trophy...the league has a lot of parity. Every team is an injury away from being middle of the pack. Look at the Suns without Nash, both the Bulls & Sonics plastered them.

I'd love to see Pippen in action again, even if he's in slow-mo.

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be nothing but idle talk but all the same, I'd be in favour of one last run with the Bulls. They may have a surplus of guards and small forwards but I'd still take a 40 year old Pippen in good health over Adrian Griffin and Viktor Kryhapa.

How exactly was MJ ridiculous? The man was 40 years old and still managed to drop some very high scores, made the highlight reel (anyone remember the block/steal vs Mercer if I'm not mistaken?).

Ridiculous? Hardly. He was giving kids half his age a run for their money, he wasn't the MJ, but to disrespect the man by saying the above...that's just sad.

The man averaged 22.9 & 20 points the two years he played for Washington, that was before all the silly ass touch fouls. The man's a legend, even at 40, he's a legend.

My god have some respect for the greats, and you accusing Pippen of being a greedy player, well as i recall he was the one that always kept quite and gave all the fame to Jordan, and although Pippen may not have been as good as Jordan, he certainly was bludy brilliant and deserved more respect then he received.

Know either post something about greats with respect, or keep your mouth shut.

I think Pippen would be great at the bulls, he would give that veteran knowledge and skill to the team, which they really need with young players like Thomas, Deng and Noicioni that play a similar position to Pippen plus Gordon, Duhon and Hinrich would also benefit.

I think this Pippen making a come back is ok... If he still has the desire (obvious) and if some one actually does sign him. No NBA team will sign him if he is in a bad shape... So if he signs, he will probably make a splash of some sort. Likely targets to me seem to be Miami, San Antonio, Dallas, Phoenix... The title hunters. Bulls are good, but I can't see them making a push for the title until the Pau Gasol trade that is coming up. I think that even Houston would be a more likely ending slot than Chicago.

I read somewhere that he would like to play for a contender and in a warm climate. That's how I base my end results.

It's just up to Pippen... I'm sure his defensive presense will be welcomed by many teams and if he is in a good shape, why not... Especially if your team is riddled with injuries and not within luxury tax range.

I could see Pippen fit in great with a half-court team like Cleveland, Miami or Houston. Obviously, he can't be very atlethic anymore, but with his combination of size and passing ability, he could be a good sidekick to either of those teams Guard/center duos.

Just because they're talented doesnt mean that you cant badmouth them for being stupid. That means no disrespect whatsoever to Scottie when he was with the bulls or when he was in his prime. Far from it. I believe Indy is thinking like me: the greats need to not come back so they can be no question to their greatness. While I'm glad Jordan came back because i got an opportunity to see him play (one of the greatest moments of my life) i dont necessarily think he should have. People need to know their limits and admit to them. While jordan did not perform badly those 2 years in Wash, he certainly wasnt his old self. Of course he wouldnt be at 40, by why possibly sully your legend with that?

Now about Scottie coming back to the bulls...yes lets put him on the team that already has 3-4 decent players at the same position that are interchangeable...sounds like a FANTASTIC idea....(yes i realize nocioni plays PF alot now, i just dont care, he's still a SF to me). The only good thing about him coming back to the bulls is that is where his name means most. There he is a hero, everywhere else; he's going to be "washed" up.

To Scottie and all other legends: please stay legends by not coming back. Emmit Smith did belong on the cardinals, you did not belong on the Blazers that year, and Jordan didnt belong on the Wizards. I know your bored with your millions of dollars but if you wanna play again, go to canada or something with Rodman.

seriously- i don't think Pippen has a lot to offer even if he says he's in his best shape in 5 years. he hasn't played in the NBA for a few years now. i'll be laughing my ass of if he does latch on with the eventual champ.
