Amare should be MVP...we'll see though.

Meh...Kobe getting MVP is a little weak...he played more minutes than anyone else of course he's going to score more points.

Which brings up why Kobe got more minutes than every other West player...?

Yawn. Same old boring stock standard dunks/alley oops. Very few nice plays in the game. Kobe had a few reverse dunks, Vince had that nice spin move, Marion with a nice windmill and the rest was forgettable.

For the sake of humanity, why is it that on fast breaks with no one near all we get is shitty dunks. Apart from a nice dunk by LBJ everything else was sub par. No one even tried to do anything awesome with the clock dying. Not to mention the lack of defence. At least in the rookie game a few yrs ago multiple players registered a through the legs dunk.

What we need to liven this weekend up, is a game, just like the All-Star game but features only the likes of Josh Smith, Gerald Green, James White and other athletic guys who probably will never make the ASG but WILL put on a show. Isn't that what we are expecting anyway?

Without players like Jason Kidd and Steve Nash, the playmaking wasn't really there like it could have been. It was alot of alleyoops, jumpshots, and cherry picking, not much true team play.

Got to give it to Dwight Howard, 20 and 12 in 20 minutes. Amare and Kobe really shined for the West.

I don't watch the All Star game expecting to see great basketball, I watch it to see the players do their thing and have fun. I don't expect it to be a great game. I expect to see some nice alleyoops a few nice passes, and some highlights.

Tim Duncan is funny, never knew that. When Tony asks him about the alleyoop he threw to him, Tim replied "I can't jump." Nice entertainment by Shaq with his little cross moves. I loved that early spin and dunk by VC.

argh, Kobe picked as MVP. I won't bitch too much cause it's the all-star game, but he obviously hogged the ball down the stretch. oh well.

The East, especially guys like Wade, Arenas and LeBron, were playing selfish ball. The game just became really sloppy and boring after watching the East consistently fumble the ball leading to a Shawn Marion dunk or something.

A person favourite highlight of the game was Chris Bosh's windmill. Never knew he had it in him. :o

1)Actually Lebron logged the most minutes.

2)Because he's the best guard they have on their side I suppose and its normal to give the bigger attractions more floor time.

That's two people now who've used the term "waste of my sleep". Were you watching the game while asleep and you now wish you had been doing something else while asleep? I'm not sure I understand. (Is it some sort of Lithuanian expression? )

The stayed up to watch the All Star Weekend. Time difference, remember? If it starts at 8 by you guys, it'll probably start at like 3-4 by us, in the morning.

So they said what a waste of my sleep, they stayed up, when they could have been sleeping.

I didn't think it was that bad, i always expect too much from the allstar game, and i think everybody does. VC had some nice dunks, LeBron had a couple nice ones, Wade was so dissapointing, he had the first break away, noone near him, and he does an amazing one handed jam  . Dwight was a beast, Gilbert was a dissapointment. Kobe deserved mvp, you could tell he really wanted to get LeBron back for their last games loss. My play of the game was Lebrons sick off the back board jam, and then he landed on Amare, just amazing.

They certainly wasted the time they had set aside to sleep, but not the sleep itself. I don't really care anymore, come to think of it.

I missed most of the All-Star weekend with the exception of Friday night , when they played the celebrity all star game and rookie / sophomore show. I was , however , able to pick up the all star game on Overdrive. So , the best part of All-Star Weekend was not the dunk contest or skills competition , which I missed , but instead it was the mascots running onto the basketball court to play during the celebrity basketball game. Either that or the time sideline reporter Jim Gray geared up and played for 20 seconds in the final 2 minutes. (Y)
