Yao Won't Play In All Star Game

Tough luck for Yao. Great season thus far and really deserved to be there, and MVP candidate and a definite starter. It sucks to see the leagues best center go down like this, I really thought he would be back in time for the ASG. Ah well, hopefully he can stay healthy this time next year.

Is it too late for the fans to vote Mutombo in his place?

Sat Jan 13, 2007 11:12 pm

HeYYY MutomBo dezervez it Yeh, he''s ol-time 2nd in blockz now!!

Sun Jan 14, 2007 12:27 am

Ironic...the first time he actually deserves to start, he won't be playing. Tough break.

This means Amare Stoudemire will start at center?

Sun Jan 14, 2007 12:48 am

Obviously he won't play. If you can do simple math you would have known.

Whatever.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 2:12 am

looks like Marcus Camby might make it now, and deservedly so.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 2:45 am

good!!!! yao actually degrades the all-star game im not trying to be racist i just thing he sux, he's 7'6' and can hardly play like a center he should be able to dominate and own everyone cause of his height he should retire  !!!

Sun Jan 14, 2007 3:11 am

So, Heidi actually makes a come back, interesting.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 6:33 am

Yay.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 6:53 am

Let's see LaMarcus Aldridge in the All-Star game.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 11:54 am

Well just as well, because he usually sucks in the all-star game.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 12:29 pm

Except he deserved to be there. He's the best center in the league and it sucks to see him go down and miss something like this, even though he is probably tired of playing in them :P

Except he deserved to be there.

Funny how for the first time in his career he actually deserves to play, and he cant.

Do you have a clue about anything or are you just an ignorant moron?

Please don't post this rubbish, it does not help the conversation at hand let alone the general perception you will dictate of yourself to others.

Back on topic, at least Camby should finally get the honour he deserved last year. It's going to almost be a small ball line-up in the West this year if Amare and Camby man the middle. No true centre's out West that deserve the spot in the ASG.

I believe the replacement would go to Boozer/Okur. But yeah, Camby is still up in there too.

Sun Jan 14, 2007 7:45 pm

Since Mike D'Antoni will be coaching the West it wouldn't surprise me if Amare Stoudemire moved into the starting lineup, assuming he's selected as a reserve or injury replacement. After all, the league selects the injury replacement but it's at the coach's discretion as to who will take an injured starter's place.

ty-land don't hate almost everyone would agree with my statement

If you feel so strongly about it, then prove it.

Mon Jan 15, 2007 3:28 am

here are yao ming's all-star game averages: PPG:9.7, RPG:4.7, APG:2.0, Minutes Played:20 minutes, SPG:00, BPG: .33, Turnover: .33, Personal Fouls per game:1.30

Need I Say More?

Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:23 am

Do you realize that there are 4 other superstars on the court at the same time you dumb retarded fuck

Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:39 am

yeah most the time the stat lines for the all star game mvp's are not outstanding, and if they are, they're never like a record type of game.

It's hard to put up impressive stats when almost everyone on the floor is used to carrying their team.
