Took me ages to get this page to load, but it was worth it. Great finals series by Ben, and an awesome game 4 for the Reignman. Definately my favorite dynasty ever, despite the arcadeness of 06, you made the game seem so realistic. I'm really hoping EA brings out a patch to fix all those bugs for 07, because I would absolutely love to see the Bulls repeat  especially with fresh faces in Wallace, Sefolosha and Thomas. I'm still holding out hope for Kemp to somehow join the Bulls, just so I can hopefully see you bring him a second championship in 07.

Thanks for the dynasty, It was great (Y)

Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the ride. :) I'll definitely be doing a Bulls Dynasty in NBA Live 07 but I'm not sure if I'll have it follow on from this one as far as continuity. Guess I'll make that decision when the game arrives. ;)

Barh, you were playing NBA Live where all your NBA fantasies can come true. That's why the Bulls swept :proud: .

Fri Sep 29, 2006 8:00 pm

Congrats on the Championship. (y)

62?! By Gordon?! Cool beans to him.

Looking forward to your 07 version.

Congrats Andrew. This dynasty was the most realistic in live 06 dynasty stories (Y)

Congratulations Andrew, it wouldn't have been fitting if you hadnt one after playing every single game (Y)

Tue Jan 02, 2007 6:47 pm

Cheers X, glad to hear you enjoyed this one. :)

Tue Jan 02, 2007 7:08 pm

as always....I don't get to check on them as much these days, but yeah, with the combination of the dynasty section, I thought I'd bump a few of the older dynasty threads of some of the newer members to see....perhaps some of them might be inspired, perhaps not....

Thu Jan 04, 2007 1:00 pm

Man, nice thread. With all the images and the articles. Very very detailed. Any plans on doing the Bulls' 07 dynasty?

Tue Jan 29, 2008 7:08 pm

I'm considering picking this one up again. To that end, I've gone through the offseason.

2006 Offseason

Begley will remain in Chicago

CHICAGO, IL -- Chicago Bulls head coach and general manager Andrew Begley reportedly turned down an offer to join the Minnesota Timberwolves in an unspecified capacity and will remain at the helm of the Bulls. Begley declined to comment on any discussions with the Timberwolves but said "I'm happy to be here in Chicago and I'm committed to us defending our crown this year. There's no other place I'd rather be."

The Bulls swept the 2005 champion San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals in June.

New Orleans wins NBA Draft Lottery

NEW YORK, NY -- The New Orleans Hornets will select first in the NBA Draft on June 24th after winning the NBA Draft Lottery today, despite only having the fourth best chance out of the fourteen lottery teams. The Atlanta Hawks will pick second overall while the Minnesota Timberwolves, owners of the league's worst record last season, dropped to the fourth pick. The biggest winners might have been the Orlando Magic, who will pick third despite only having the eighth best odds in the hopper.

"Naturally we're very excited," commented Hornets' coach Byron Scott. "It's been a tough year for us, the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana but we're looking forward to the future and also, to coming home." Scott refused to hint at who the team would select, stating only that the team were considering a few options with the pick.

The Hornets last owned the first overall pick in 1991 while still in Charlotte, when they selected Larry Johnson out of UNLV. Johnson would have an immediate impact for the Hornets as well as enjoying success later in his career with the New York Knicks.

Rookie Scouting Report: Chicago Bulls

CHICAGO, IL -- The Chicago Bulls have been working out prospects all week and thus far it looks as though they will draft big should Wyatt Hanlon or Howard Mobley be available at the twenty first pick. At 7'3" and 292 lbs, Hanlon would give the Bulls an interesting project behind Tyson Chandler in the middle. Although limited offensively, Hanlon can alter shots and is a monster on the boards. Mobley in contrast is more of a finesse player though he has shown some explosiveness around the rim and at 7'0" and 281 lbs he can still fill the lane.

Other players who have been brought in include swingman Botwe Grant and power forward Katashiko Cheung.

Pike calls it a day

CHICAGo, IL -- Chicago Bulls swingman Eric Piatkowski has announced his retirement today. Piatkowski played 12 seasons in the NBA for the Clippers, Rockets and Bulls.

Around the League: Key Free Agents

DETROIT, MI -- A few noteworthy players have agreed to contracts with their current teams but the Pistons' Ben Wallace is not among them. The multi-time Defensive Player of the Year has opted to test the free agent waters in search of the best possible deal. Tayshaun Prince however has decided to remain in Detroit. Elsewhere, Caron Butler has agreed to terms with the Washington Wizards, while the Texas Triangle should remain a dangerous road trip as both Yao Ming and Jason Terry agreed to remain with the Rockets and Mavericks respectively. The Cavaliers have retained Drew Gooden for five years while Phoenix re-signed Amare Stoudemire for an estimated $75 million over six years. Al Harrington has also agreed to a new deal with the Atlanta Hawks, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bulls sign Wilcox, Dunleavy

CHICAGO, IL -- The Chicago Bulls announced the signing of forwards Chris Wilcox and Mike Dunleavy, Jr in a press conference held this afternoon. As per club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed but both are expected to be in the $4-5 million range with Wilcox's contract running six years while Dunleavy is rumoured to have signed for four years. Commented Bulls' coach Andrew Begley, "We're very pleased to be able to bring in two talented young players who will no doubt strengthen our roster as we make a run at a second straight title."

Big Ben signs with Bobcats

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Today the Charlotte Bobcats announced the signing of Ben Wallace to a multi-year contract. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Wallace immediately becomes the young franchise's highest touted free agent signee, having won a championship with the Detroit Pistons in the 2003/2004 NBA season.

"I enjoyed my time in Detroit but it was time to move on," Wallace told reporters at this afternoon's press conference. "It's time for new challenges and this is a young club that could use a veteran like myself. I think we can make some noise this year."

You're back! I hope this will make this section more a live.

Tue Jan 29, 2008 11:12 pm

We'll see. ;) If anyone is contemplating going back to their favourite edition of Live and doing a Franchise or Dynasty, I'd certainly encourage them to post if they've got the enthusiasm.

Wed Jan 30, 2008 12:35 am

That's good news you decided to continue this dynasty, definitely a huge boost to all the people in this section, which is less and less active as I noticed.

Haha I guess Ellis' overall is still not high in Live 06, but I hope he will be useful in your team.

Wed Jan 30, 2008 12:40 am

Nice, can't wait for more updates. Solid additions in Wilcox and Ellis.
Also nice that you got rid of Ben, imo.

Wed Jan 30, 2008 2:19 am

No pics? Since Andrew here hope that this section will be alive thought.

Wed Jan 30, 2008 2:41 am

Andrew's back!! This is awesome! Now we might actually have some good members here in the dynasty section. Great offseason report. I loved the first season of this, and I can't wait for more updates.

awesome man (Y)

Wed Jan 30, 2008 4:43 am

Nice (Y)
From what I read, this dynasty is one of the better, so I'll be sure to follow this one from now on.

Wed Jan 30, 2008 7:42 pm

Nice to see this thing going again. Good luck.

Wed Jan 30, 2008 9:05 pm

Thanks for the comments everyone, I appreciate the enthusiasm. As I said I've been thinking of picking this one up again so it's nice to know you guys would be interested in reading a few new Dynasty articles. :)

Haha I guess Ellis' overall is still not high in Live 06, but I hope he will be useful in your team

Yeah it's in the 60s so he was quite affordable. Gordon gets most of the time at shooting guard and I've got some versatility with Dunleavy on the team if I need to try different lineups but just as he did back then (and I guess he still does), Ellis has potential.

Nice, can't wait for more updates. Solid additions in Wilcox and Ellis.
Also nice that you got rid of Ben, imo.

Thanks, I like the additions I made though I didn't get rid of Ben Wallace (if that's what you mean); I just didn't sign him, something I wish Paxson didn't do in real life. I wasn't really looking at anyone in particular in the offseason but Wilcox jumped out at me being a solid frontcourt player and Dunleavy was available fairly cheaply, around about the same amount I was paying Sprewell last season.

No pics?

I prefer not to use too many pictures as I'd rather tell the story and only use screenshots of significant events, but I'm sure I'll post a few especially with generated rookies now in the mix.
