I'm wondering about that too. On top of that, would Philly even want to take on a band of thugs? We already knew that JR Smith had attitude problems, but could he be another Ron Artest?

I think so. didn't Spree get traded to NY while he was suspended?

anyways, I loved every second of this.. the downfall of the golden boy Melo... maybe people will stop jocking him so much.

Collins has to know he was a total idiot. How could anyone ever be possessed to grab someone by the neck at the end of a blowout?

Granted, George Karl's a jerk as usual for leaving his starters in, especially after the crazy game against the C's last night, but now the NBA will have even MORE of a "thug" image that turns off people like me who don't give a damn about streetball moves, flashy dunks, and other such idiocy.

Once something like that foul occurs, nothing good is going to happen afterwards. You can't expect the players to not defend a teammate who has just been quite literally attacked.

I say suspend all ten guys who were involved in that embarrassing scene for at least 10 games - Nate and J.R. for 30-40 games and a warning that men do not have catfights, and Melo for the rest of the season. You can't punch people in the head, for God's sake. What a joke. Ruined my whole night even after the Celtics win.

I just watched the Sports Center.

Lee, Frye and Najera shouldn't get more than 1 game. Melo will the most games suspension, JR Smith, Nate and Mardy will get the 2nd most and Camby, Jeffries and Miller will get the next amount. IMO.

The amount of games is unknown, depends on how harsh Stern decides to be.

I think the only ones who'll get really screwed will JR, Nate, Mardy and Jeffries, but mostly Melo, since he punched Collins while things were starting to cool off.
Crazy shit, I'm guessing at least 30 games for him, what a dick...

I dont think Lee, Frye and Najera should be suspended but they were involved ever so slightly. And if the League were to be harsh to them, it wouldn't be more than one game.

If those 3 get suspended, then Isiah Thomas should get a game for talking to Melo.

If the rule hasn't changed, I think that every player who gets up from the bench is supposed to be suspended for a game. I don't know about players who were already on court though...I saw Frye falling on the floor in the middle of it all so I think he'll be suspended for sure.

Najera shouldn't be suspended. He actually tried to stop the fight.
Melo, Robinson, Collins, Smith, Jeffries should get the biggest penalties in that order.

That's story shows how pathetic the Knicks are, but it basically hasn't got much to do with who's gonna get suspended and stuff. It's too easy to call this Isiah's fault just because he's a moron.

Good thing for the Knicks though that Collins and Nate are the ones facing the longest suspension. You wouldn't want your franchise player and another one of your best players, who happens to be in a breakout year, to be suspended.

And no matter who's fault it is, Melo's a bitch.

That article by Dan Wetzel and this one by Adrian Wojnarowski pretty much sum up my opinion on the whole incident.

LOL @ Running Man and Melo Jordan Logo

Shame it wasn't Ron Ron fighting again. He would of gave Collins a 1-2 then a uppercut.
Great stupidity by both teams in particular Isiah 'Captain of the Titanic' Thomas, Mardy "We lost the friggin' game already so why bother committing a flagrant foul' Collins and finally Carmelo "Running Man" Anthony. Holy shit Nate Robinson is strong, he crash tackled Andre Miller! Can't wait for the announcement from EA that Melo won't be on the cover athlete for Nba Street Next Gen but rather Fight Night Round 4.

well, seeing that Melo's one of the NBA's 3 poster boys, I think Stern will take it easy on him. I wonder how much more it'll take before Melo's image is tarnished. there's already accounts of him and his weed habit (which I heard is legal to possess up to 1 oz in Denver) and now this.

what ??? I just wanted to say that I dont know why there is no one behaving like Andre Miller .... Look at him, he has more distance to the main brawl than the camera men jumping around on the court. He just watches and does not do anything. That is what I would do, too. Since it is very childish to get aggressive and go at each other in a basketball game ...
