If AI gets traded to the Clippers, the Sixers would be asking for Livingston, and I doubt the Clippers would say yes to that.
Anyway, I hope all of this trade-talk ends soon. I'm checking nba.com about 5 times per hour.

Livingston is overrated. I've watched a lot of Clippers games, and I haven't seen anything that impressive from him.

Well it might have an impact but on a long run the Sixers would be better off. My favourite now are the Clippers. I'd love to see two top players (i.e. Brand and Iverson) on the team. Philly would get a solid PG in Cassel and some expiring contracts as well.

I agree, I could see the Warriors giving up Baron, but Biedrins has improved drastically this year and has a really bright future in Don Nelson's offense. I think that would make them worse off rather than better.

I'm truly hoping for Minnesota, or some completely unforseen, unpredictable blockbuster.

Everything I read seems to say that Golden State are the front-runners now, but I dislike that completely. It bores me.

I completely agree. But I think he'll end up in Golden State. :? Or maybe Boston. Then he surely has no chance of winning the title..His best options are Indiana (but I wouldn't like the trade because it involves Granger) and Minnesota..Oh and I predict this saga will continue for at least another week.

Golden State is all but completely out, Denver, Minnesota and Indiana are all still good possibilities. Danny Ainge said they have a very tiny chance, but he doesn't expect it to happen.

This whole thing keeps changing every 20 minutes. First Golden State is a done deal, which I never believed, then Golden State is out. Then Denver is the favorite, then Minny, then Boston, then Indiana, I don't know what's going to happen, but its fun to watch. Even more crazy the the Ron Artest saga last year.

I think he still has a good chance of ending up in Indy, Donnie just has to get his ass in gear and offer up Danny.

if i were the clippers id screw waiting for livingston to develop, your franchise player is in his prime (brand) he needs a dynamic scorer to give LA that one two punch. trade maggette and livingston for iverson and get the highest possible chance of getting a championship now

Denver will part wil Camby or Miller if Philly gives another player in return such as Korver or Carney. I think the trade will go down sending Iverson to Minny but Denver will be involved as the 3rd team and Philly ends up getting Nene and Foye and possibly some draft picks which leaves Minny with Iverson and Denver with Davis and Hassell or whoever was involved. After that Denver could possibly strike better deals etc.

You're wrong.

Axel, I don't know what you're talking about. Shaun isn't overrated, its just going to take some time for him to become a superstar, but it will happen. He's learning how to be a pure point guard first, and he's almost got that down. I think it was stupid of the Clips to re-sign Cassell, they should have given Shaun the reigns immidiately.

It's a mute point though, because LA came out and said Shaun is untouchable.

Dammit! I hate waiting for this trade, feels sort of like when you're a kid waiting for Christmas Day. The Sixers management said it'll be done no later than Tuesday and then they decide to wait for Thursday to come around for that trade condition to pass.

As a few of you have mentioned your opposition with the GSW deal Baron and Biedrins for A.I I totally agree with that. GSW should just offer Baron and a alright player (no Ellis, J Rich, Murphy).

The Clips deal that has been mentioned, Maggette should obviously go but the other side with Livingston makes it a tough one.

Shame about the Kings pulling the plug, they were one of my teams I wanted A.I to play for along with Minny.

Would be funny if the Knicks have something up their sleeve and pull this one off. Maybe Dolan will give Isiah a 5 year 10mil per yr contract extension and of course let him continue to blow cap space as usual.

I just heard that Indy and Denver are the best possibilities.

Denver would give Nene and Joe Smith, Philly would be able to gain alot of cap after the contracts run out.

Indy, they didnt say who they would give but they said iverson wanted to go there, and they have players that could get him there.

Boston and Minny are out unless they can get a 3rd team to help.

Nuggets Working On A Three-Way?

14th December, 2006 - 5:50 am
Philadelphia Inquirer -

A source that spoke with David Aldridge said Wednesday that the Nuggets might be trying to involve a third team, the Portland Trail Blazers , in an Allen Iverson deal.

The proposed trade would send forward Nene to the Trail Blazers, who then would ship center Jamaal Magloire to the Sixers.

The Nuggets would send another player, possibly former Sixer Joe Smith, to the Sixers, and the Sixers would direct Iverson to Denver.

If the Sixers even consider this deal, Billy King will be hunted down and killed...

I am sure that trade wold have to include Earl Boykins. Denver wants to get rid of him, The Sixers need a guard, and Denver would be packed with both Andre Miller, AI and JR Smith looking for heavy minutes.

BTW, if I was JR Smith now, I would really hate to have to fight over minutes with AI now since he is having a breakout season.

What a rip off for Philly and Portland if that trade were to go through. Nene can't find his way off the injured list, and Magloire is overpaid, and takes minutes from Dalembert. Billy King would be giving Iverson away in that deal.

why would sixers even want Boykins?

Smith could play SG/SF backup minutes.

obviously this deal is fake since draft picks will no doubt be exchanged.

Because with Iverson gone, their best point guard would be Kevin Ollie... Or did I miss something?

Take a look at their roster - Even though Willie Green and Louis Williams both are promising players (Williams has been playing very good in the D-league lately), they can't count on them to replace Iversons ballhandling duties - Williams is to unexperienced and Ollie is too ....bad

2006-07 Roster
NUM PLAYER POS HT WT DOB FROM YRS
25 Rodney Carney F 6-7 205 04/15/1984 Memphis R
1 Samuel Dalembert C 6-11 250 05/10/1981 Seton Hall 4
33 Willie Green G 6-3 201 07/28/1981 Detroit Mercy 3
44 Alan Henderson F-C 6-9 240 12/02/1972 Indiana 11
45 Steven Hunter C-F 7-0 240 10/31/1981 DePaul 5
9 Andre Iguodala F-G 6-6 207 01/28/1984 Arizona 2

I'd be surprised by a GS deal, because they have a lot of long, bad contracts. I'd equally be surprised by a Denver deal because Nene also has a long, crappy contract.

If i were the sixers management i'd be looking at tanking this year for potentially the 2nd best draft class after LeBron's, and clearing up massive cap space for 2008. Filling up their salary cap doens't make much sense to me.

2008 free agent class:
AL Jefferson
Iguodala
Ben Gordon
Magette
Devin Harris
Dwight Howard
Elton Brand
Okafor
Arenas
Kidd
JON
Josh Smith
Kevin Martin
Luol Deng
Krstic
Rip Hamilton
Ricky Davis
Artest
Livingston
Marion
Francis
Duncan

Obviously a lot of these guys will be resigned, but someone will be available.

That three way deal would be for cap space. Getting Magloire and Smith (the Sixers don't get Nene) would free up something like 17-18 million. I wouldn't do it unless it included a bunch of draft picks, but it's not a bad idea alltogether.

What?! you think that Denver would trade smith AND Nene away? I mean,With all due respect to Iverson,I think the two best scorers in the league won't fit together, even in a team like the Nuggets who average a lotta points per game.
And just when Smith was getting along, posting career highs and other shit...
Just won't go.
