I have to agree with JamesCameron, I don't think this is that big a deal. I don't know what percentage of people are homosexual, but there has to be a few in the NBA that we don't know about.

On a serious note, what is the difference if someone is strait, bi, or gay. They're human, the guy isn't going to be going around raping people on the court, in the shower, or anywhere.

i think it would be significant in the fact it's a male athlete in a major sport coming out the closet. I don't think any NFL or MLB players came out the closet yet..
