Again loss? Now you must win against Miami necessarily, because Spurs will kick your ass and you would have 6th consecutive loss... And the Western Conference must be strong as hell if you have 23-14 record and only in the 8th place.

Did you notice the hand coming from Hedo's back? Thats hilarious.

Thu Dec 07, 2006 12:14 am

Ahh, next loss, but still plenty of games left to underline your playoffs claim.
Arroyo was amazing, Hill is always doin well when I face the Magic, 27/12 is really strong. Good Luck next time (Y)

Thu Dec 07, 2006 2:37 am

Marquis, Thanks, well I'll try my best against Heat... And no, I didn't notice the hand from Hedo's back, to me it looks completely pathetic...

hova-, Thanks, well as far as I am, I'm thinking of a 5th place seed, but It's too early to say...

Oh dude, congrats on reaching over 100,000 views! Hopefully if I can get a new computer and get my dynasty and everything running again, I'll catch up with you

Fri Dec 08, 2006 12:54 am

Thanks :)

Actually I reached this the first time in my life, but I don't really care about, what I care about is to win a game  Anyway, thanks again...

The Los Angeles Lakers won against Miami Heat. It’s their first win in 5 games. Lakers got back to 6th spot on the western conference and 2nd in the pacific rankings.
Miami held a 4 point lead after the first, Lakers cut it down to 1 point after the second quarter.
Heat was led by Antoine Walker in the third quarter, he scored 10 points and extended Miami’s lead to 7 points after the third period. The started the quarter strongly, with a 6-0 run, but then Lakers answered with 11 points. Heat stopped the Lakers for a couple of minutes, to get the lead back, they did it successfully. When the quarter was going to it’s end, Heat were leading by 14 points, but after Jordan Farmar’s superb 7-0 run, leaving Miami not time at all, it was only a 7 point lead.
It all went down to here. Kobe knew the value of this game and took the role, he scored 16 points in the last quarter. Though, it wasn’t that easy, Dwyane Wade wanted the revenge too. Last time he wasn’t able to get his team to the win and did all he could to bring it this time, but he wasn’t successful. Both teams played pretty much the same basket in the 4th, until it came to the last minute. Heat were leading only by two, after a successful attack by Gary Payton, extended the lead to 4 points. Kwame answered quickly with a big dunk. Heat knew that they only have to hold the ball to win because there were only 30 seconds left. But then, Kobe Bryant stole the ball from Wade and finished the attack easily, removing Heat’s lead. Heat had 22 seconds to go, but then again, Kobe stole the ball once again, and quickly ran to offense and made a easy lay-up leaving Miami 4 seconds to go, but they weren’t able to do anything…

The Los Angeles Lakers have lost to San Antonio, who celebrated their 19th win in a row. Lakers fell down to 7th spot on the western conference.
Spurs gained a 12 point lead after the first quarter, but it was downed to 6 points after the second.
Lakers started the quarter successfully with a 10-2 streak, taking the lead from the Spurs. They didn’t hold it long, because of Tim Duncan, he scored 12 points in the third quarter, Lakers were unable to stop him. Lamar was the answer to the problem, he scored 10 points in the third quarter and non of the teams won the quarter. Spurs held a 6 point lead heading into the last period.
Kobe continued his great defensive performance, stealing four and blocking 2 shots, but his poor offense was probably the biggest reason why the Lakers lost. Kobe scored only 4 points in the last quarter, shooting 2-11 FG’s. Lakers were playing poor on the offensive end. They didn’t score a point in the first two minutes, and weren’t doing much in the next ones. They scored 14 points in the last quarter, while Spurs ended the game easily, outscoring Lakers by 6 points in the last quarter. Spurs celebrated their 19th win in a row. Lakers are traveling to Dallas tomorrow, to meet the Mavericks, who defeated the Lakers last time.

The Los Angeles Lakers have celebrated a win in Dallas against the Mavericks, who fell down to 7th, while Lakers got back to 6th spot.
Lakers held a 6 point lead after the first quarter, it wasn’t continued to be built in the second, as Mavs cut it down to 5.
Lakers started the quarter with a bang, Lamar shocked Mavs scoring straight 10 points in one and a half minutes without an answer from Mavs. Johnson quickly called a timeout and Mavs got back by playing spectacular defense, they let Lakers to score only 9 points in the left minutes, while themselves scoring 19. Devin Harris led the team in the quarter by collecting 6 dimes, though Mavericks were doing pretty poor on rebounding and it wasn’t leading them to a win.
Kobe Bryant and Tyrus Thomas were the two players who brought the team to the win. Kobe scored 10, Tyrus 8 points in the last period. But it didn’t look happy at all for the Lakers when Dallas started the quarter with 2 consecutive treys by Dirk Nowitzki, Mavs took the lead and held it till the middle of the quarter. Then Kobe fired up by chipping in fast 7 points and taking back the lead. Mavs didn’t answer. But a minute later, they answered by banging another trey. After it they kept silent all the left time, watching how Tyrus Thomas poured in 8 points and closed the game with the win for his team.

Very good defense, no easy points for the Mavs. Dirk did quite well, but Kobe was unstoppable again. Man 40 games, half of the season done, I love this one because of you continuity, does not seem to get boring for you I hope that will be the same for only 4 games played now ....

Sat Dec 09, 2006 7:59 am

Well I can't say I would've won if Josh wasn't injured, I'd probably loose... It was just luck...

Well yeah it's starting to get boring, but I'm just trying to go as far as I can before making a 2 or 3 week break, or maybe less...

Kobe missed all of his 5 treys, but scored 34 points…

Hornets-92

The Los Angeles Lakers won an easy matchup against New Orleans Hornets, who were on a 0-6 losing streak. Lakers still sit 6th in the western conference, but may rise to the 3rd spot if they win the next one.
Lakers gained an early 8 point lead after the first one, they couldn’t extended it in the second, but Hornets didn’t do any damage also, so it kept like that after the first half.
Lakers started the quarter easily scoring easy points, didn’t put much effort on defense, but it didn’t give any damage, because Hornets were completely hopeless. They only woke up in the middle of the quarter when they saw, that they only scored 4 points in the first 4 minutes. Bench players substituted Lakers’ starters and played against Hornets starters, somehow Desmond Mason was able to score 15 points in the left minutes and cut the lead to 10 points.
Everything continued like that in the last minute, Lakers were feeling like Kings completely controlling the game’s tempo and not letting Hornets score any easy points. Hornets were getting really tired, but only Peja Stojakovic was showing effort, he scored 17 points in the last quarter, but they didn’t do much damage to Lakers, only cut the lead down to 8 points. Hornets suffered their 30th loss in this season. Lakers will be playing two home games, before going to a 8-game road trip…

Milwaukee - Portland trade was kinda stupid. I mean Bucks don't really need to improve shooting guard position, same about Portland. But I think Blazers benefited more.

Sun Dec 10, 2006 5:38 am

I agree with you, it was a totally useless trade.
