The Los Angeles Lakers lost to rivalry L.A. Clippers, and fell down to 3rd spot on pacific, with a 10-6 record.
Clippers who had the home court advantage, started the game successfully, winning the first quarter by 4 points. Lakers couldn’t answer strong in the second as they lost the quarter once again by 4 points. Clippers held a fragile 8 point lead entering the second half.
Lakers’ Lamar Odom tried to steal the lead from the Clippers, he did it, by scoring 10 points in the first three minutes of the third, Clippers answered with 1 point only. tough loss, Cassell had a great game here. And yeah these 3s are killing, no matter how many defenders are, they hit that shot anyway, and it is even impossible to block that shot...

It is hard to do anything against those three pointers, I noticed that you have to jump a lil bit before, but not too much before, since you will get a foul and eventually a 4 point play against you. But if you are too late, he will hit that one.
I noticed that your free throw shooting is very inconsistent. Is it the new system, or are your players just very uneffiecent at the charity stripe ?
All in all nice read as always, dont start a loosing streak in december, and keep it up

Vladimir Radmanovic nailed 3 treys at the beginning of the third period, as the Lakers gained a 15 point lead. It wasn’t getting smaller, till Sarunas Jasikevicius entered the court. He scored all of his 10 point in the last 5 minutes of the third quarter and started the Pacers 15-2 run. Still, Lakers managed to win the quarter and held a 8 point lead entering the last period.
Lakers started the deciding quarter poorly by missing 6 shots in a row. Pacers managed to destroy the deficit and held their own, 5 point lead, till the quarter’s middle. I just expected some of these games, since you have not really tried to force it with Kobe until now. 65 points is awesome, you even took more shots than Kobe did in his 81 points performance. (He just went to the stripe more often)
Two years ago I would have said "unrealistic" but nowadays we all know that Kobe is able to have those games.
Peja also with a great performance, but who cares, good win !

Wow, 65 by Kobe and 8 assists as well. Good win

, and yellow and yellow must've been pretty tough on the eyes.

Yeah these both jerseys on the same court look kinda weird. But wow very great performance by Kobe
Sat Nov 25, 2006 1:13 am
hova-, Well I wasn't even thinking about scoring more than 50 points with Kobe this season, but after I saw he had 30 points after the first two quartes, I knew I just had to make this a big game...
[C][B]#4, Yeah it sometimes got me mixed up...
Marquis, Thanks man...

Hawks don’t stop Lakers
3rd quarter intervention
Kobe Bryant once again with a big performance…
Box Scores
Lakers[13-6]
Hawks[6-15]
*records after the matchup
The Los Angeles Lakers have extended their winning streak to 3-0, winning against Atlanta Hawks.
It was a tie after the first period, but Hawks were flying higher in the second as they collected a 6 point lead entering the second half.
Lakers didn’t let Hawks extended their lead, as they outscored Atlanta by 3 points and had a 3 point deficit heading into 4th period. Radmanovic was hot, scored 10 points in the third, Jarmar added 5, Thomas 4. Lakers weren’t able to stop Speedy Claxton who played injured, but putted up amazing numbers. 9 points, 4 assists in the third quarter…
Lakers destroyed Hawks lead, right at the beginning of the last period, as Kobe hit his only trey in that game. Lakers had the lead in seconds and kept it till the end of the match. Though it didn’t look like this in the last minutes, when Smush got fouled out and Lakers lead was only 1 point, but after Lamar’s 8 consecutive points Lakers were able to stand back and win the game. Game against Hawks was a good practice before 4 tough games against Spurs, Rockets(twice) and Mavs.

BTW, guys I'm waiting for your suggestions on how to make my recaps better...
Sat Nov 25, 2006 5:28 am
Nice win over the Hawks, Kobe was feelin it again, 9 assists are also showing his unselfish game. You had a pretty decent start after ~ 20 games (20 games !!, you are already very far) and I hope you can keep it up. Glad that the RJ rumour is false, would have been kinda strange to see him leaving.
About the recap ... I think it is pretty difficult to write a good recap in this case, since
a) You only play half of the game, so you cant follow the whole game (I would also intervene, since it is a 82 game season)
b) Youre not a native speaker, no offense, since I am not a native speaker, too, it is hard to write a good recap in english
c) It just takes very much time
I would say just try to involve some more statistics, like mentioning in the recap how your opponents did last game, who is their leading scorer, bringing some statistics or rumours from the rumour central in it.
All in all I like it, keep it up
Sat Nov 25, 2006 6:41 am
yeah i agree with hova-, some stats before the game/ leading up to it would be good but apart from that its good

Lakers held a 1 point lead after the first quarter, though the Spurs destroyed it and created their own 4 point lead.
Lakers started the first struggling, missing 5 shots in a row, while Spurs added 6 to their lead. They didn’t sleep long, as the clock was showing 5 minutes, Lakers had only a 1 point deficit. Seconds later, they held a 2 point lead. Spurs got it back, just at the end of the quarter by hitting a three-pointer and having a 1 point lead heading into last period.
Lakers scored 12 points in the first two minutes of the last quarter, Spurs didn’t answer, just collected fouls and Robert Horry and Tony Parker were forced to leave the floor because of foul trouble. Lakers scored four more points in the next minute, Spurs didn’t answer. Only the it was 5 minutes on the clock they were able to answer with two points, then later banging few treys, but it was too late, cause the Lakers were holding a 20+ point lead. Spurs weren’t showing any effort on defense, as Lakers outscored them by 23 points in the last quarter and extended their winning streak to 4-0.
