Coz i ddnt get to see Patrick Ewing in the NBA Games coz before i still ddnt have Nb Tv on my Cable.. Anyways.. Isn't John Starcks an enough Robin for Patrick Ewing?

I always felt that Ewing needed an athletic/explosive sf or an elite pointguard. If he had one or the other I honestly believe game 7 would have been ours. Who did we have starting back then? I think Derek Harper but not too sure.

Oh and I think Ewing put a curse on the Knicks, just look at what happened when they traded him.

Now that i know that Starks played with Ewing here are my thoughts:

I think Starks was trying to be Michael Jordan for the Knicks..But his teammates wouldn't let him..Unlike the Bulls where all respected the ability of MJ to change the game..The Knicks just simply didn't..That's because Starks was also ballhoggin and all..Kinda like Kobe last season..But this season..I think Kobe is already doing well..Iv'e seen his games and he really passes the ball now..I guess he already knows what he should be doing..Which is to win and not to pad up his stats..I'm glad Kobe's coming to his senses already since he's a great superstar..Probably the best in the NBA today..If he continues his style of play now..I think he can take the Lakers to the finals..I'd love to see that..

There it is guys..Finally a love for KB from me..I really loved Kobe before..It was just that he started ballhoggin that made me hate him a lot..

Are you really comparing John Starks to Jordan? Lmao, Starks is my favorite player of all time and all but still, he was just a role player in a great situation being the number 2 option. And before you start day dreaming about the "lightning quick" Derek Harper playing alongside Ewing, he WAS on the Knicks. I just wasn't sure if he was the starting point when we went to the Finals in 94. He was a pretty good player during his Dallas days, but he was kind of over the hill when he was in NY.

What If the NBA Added 10 players to their All-Time Team?



What if the NBA was able to add 10 more players to their All-Time Team, otherwise known as the '50 Greatest Players In NBA History', in the 2007 All-Star Break to mark the 60th Aniversary of the NBA? Who would be the new players added to the list?

They can either be past or present players. So who would you have added to the orginal list of NBA superstars?

My 10 new players would be:

1. Bob McAdoo: Numbers don't lie. Two championships and an MVP award don't lie either. He was snubbed the first time round, but if he gets the chance, he should be acknowledged the next time round!

2. Dominique Wilkins: Another Hall of Famer left off the Top 50 the first time around. He was one of the most prolific scorers and best dunkers in NBA History. He deserves a spot on my Top 60.

3. Dennis Rodman: No one has ever seen a player like him on the glass. He was just amazing but his off-court antics often overshadowed his on court performance.

4. Reggie Miller: The most 'clutch' player in NBA History? Definitely one of the most exciting players who no dubt helped the NBA gain exposure through the 90s and onwards.

5. Jason Kidd: Triple Double threat every night. Has been playing consistent as hell for his whole career and makes his team mates a lot better.

6. Tim Duncan: Mr Fundamental, led his team to 3 championships and has himself garnered 2 MVPs and 3 Finals MVPs. He belongs here.

7. Gary Payton: One of the best defensive PGs and scoring PGs of all time.

8. Kevin Garnett: MVP awards, the numbers and the Wolves relying on this one man to carry them. Unlucky that he has never gotten past the first round except for one year... but his place on this list is deserving.

9. Allen Iverson: A no-brainer with his impact on the NBA. One of the most amazing scorer the NBA may have ever seen.

10. Kobe Bryant: I was hesistent on putting him in here... but his 3 rings, his talent, and his impact on the NBA puts him up here.

Missing the cut:

Bill Bradley: I have learnt that he didn't make it the first time around. I've learnt that Bradley (Current US Senator) wasn't only just good on the court but he used his status as a player to explore social and political issues Very unique

Bob Lanier: His numbers and the fact his Bucks were on top of their division in 5 consecutive seasons show his impact.

LeBron James: Hasn't done enough just yet. In another 10 years, he will be on it for sure.

Joe Dumars: Not sure if he should be added. Championships, numbers are my reasoning.

Connie Hawkens: One of the first players who pulled off acrobatic moves in mid air. Scoring titles and MVP seasons in the ABA followed by 7 more successful years in the NBA where he was an All-Star.

Yao Ming: Not right now but perhaps in 10 years time, he may be recognised as a great great player?

Dirk Nowitzki: Depending on what happens in the next few years, he may get his due. One of the most effective 'big' scorers in the NBA since Larry Bird was around.

Steve Nash: Will be interesting with him. Won back to back MVPs... but is he an All-time great? Only thing for certain is that he's Canada's All-Time greatest!

I'l edit this post later with my discussion, but all I have to say for now is that Bill Bradley will never be on the NBA's top "x" players list.

KG doesn't deserve to be in the top 60. He's done nothing special. I can only recall a few instances where he has truly "taken over" a game, and those are few and far between. He only scored above 30 pts one or two times last season. He's just a solid 20 pt scorer and 12 - 13 rebound guy. He's on the same plane as Elton Brand.

it seemed pretty obvious to me, I thought others would've picked up on it a while ago....although I'm pretty sure Nick picked up on it when I did....the fact his dynasty writing style was virtually identical, that he was from Brisbane & liked the Broncos, that he was a huge Kobe & Lakers' fan, that it coincided just after the departure of Jae & Matthew, it seemed obvious....

obviously I wasn't 100% sure, just 99% sure, but yeah, was interesting to see guys who hated Sit responding positively to this new guy called Zoom I haven't been on forums a lot lately due to stuff going on IRL, but yeah, haven't really been keeping tabs on it all....

I can understand a little bit why Sit did it, to try & start from scratch, but sometimes you just can't do it....although I didn't rate the posting as oneself in your own thread, saying good work to try & throw people off the scent

ahh well, I think I've picked up on one or two other former posters who are posting again on NLSC recently since Jae & Matthew left....I guess they figure the hard hands are gone & they can seemingless flow back into the fold....obviously not 100% sure, but just from reading posting styles you can tell....I guess when you see enough of someone's writing style, you pick up on it....just like if Jae rocked up as a guy named Jimbo (don't get excited though, this is all hypothetical), I think after a while, people's true personality & posting styles come through....


either way, back on topic, if I was adding 10 players, they'd be:
Duncan, McAdoo, Wilkins, Iverson, Payton, Kidd, Bryant, Garnett, 2 great players who I've forgotten....Nowitzki would be in list by end of career, as will James etc....


I was thinking of another 'What If', after watching the Lakers game, it is:
What If the Heat hadn't of traded Odom, Butler etc to Lakers for Shaq & Shaq stayed in LA.

I think Heat wouldn't have won title last year, but they would've stayed near top of East. An Odom-Wade-Butler trio would've caused havoc in East & that team would compete for East Crown for years to come with Lebron if they kept on adding to the core. I think Dorrell Wright might have been a little further on too. Now the Heat have a title, but are old. I never liked the trade when it happened, as I liked the young Heat as opposed to the old Heat. I can't blame Heat for the trade, as they got a title, but I know I can't be the only person who liked the old Heat better.

As for Lakers, who cares what would've happened to them. This was more of a What If about the Heat.


last note is to Flite, look at those Rudy Gay averages, they're looking good at the 9 & 4 averages I predicted at the start of the year

He is extremely inconsistant thus far and has recorded like 2 assists in 10 (?) games, but he will rise soon enough. By the way, you predicted 8/3/1. Still pretty damn close though. I want to stick by my predictions, but it isn't looking good. Realistically, he should go for 14/6/2 once he gets comfortable.

I don't mind Rudy Gay, seriously....I just don't like how people jump on hype bandwagon although I'm sure you haven't....I think he can definitely get 14, 6 & 2, but that will be in the 2007/08 year....

I guess there seems to be a Gay vs Morrison battle that started a while back on forums, & as a Morrison fan, I had to side with him....but yeah, both have been inconsistent but both will be good at the very least....difference is that Gay has that Superstar potential to be great at both ends, Morrison's potential will likely only ever allow him to be a great scorer....

talking about the Grizz, you gotta luv Mike Miller....I'm gonna try to pattern my real life game to mimic his a little, as he plays hard, hits his shots....let's just hope I get to see what Grizzlies games....

but yeah, don't mind me, I always bag out at least one or two rookies that people prematurely overhype....I was never huge on Channing Frye & always like David Lee better (I think only ceekay & I felt like this, although I don't know what ceekay thought of Mr. Frye)....but then again, I didn't like Charlie Villanueva, but he proved me wrong....
