will bynum still start wen mihm and kwame come back?
Thu Nov 09, 2006 9:36 pm
probably for the time being, until they (Mihm and Brown) start to get it together. there's no reason why he shouldnt be when the team is playing well and he's a big part of it.

Antoine Wright, Rawle Marshall and specially Andrew Bynum are some of the most improved players this year. I think finally Marvin Williams will reach the title.

You guys are forgetting about Kevin Martin.
PPG: 23.4
RPG: 4.6
APG: 1.8

Not the real K-Mart, he's just another Martin

. Anyways, yes, he's putting up really nice numbers. I doubt he'll finish with those stats this season, but he has enough tallent to make it.

LOL!! Will Bynum isnt even in the LAKERS.. I think you mean Andrew Bynum bro..
Anyways i think Charlie V has somethin to prove.. Delonte West Maybe.. And note to everyone.. ROOKIES don't get to win the Most Improved Player awards so stop naming rooks.. How are they supposed to win MIP when its their first season..

Hahaha !dsigns wrote:Monta Ellis
That's another choice for me.
Seems like he doing good in Bay Area.

Dorell Wright will be one of the MIP candidates this year. He's a great athlete, and given that he did little to nothing last year, he has nowhere to go but up. He's a great free thrower, and assist man. He's also good at rebounding and stealing the ball, kind of like his teammate D-wade, I think in a few years he'll be able to fill up the stat sheet.
Fri Nov 10, 2006 4:36 pm
Hahahha.. I laughed my ass off at myself after reading the post again.. Sorry bros.. My bad..

Was just looking at stats so far, and was surprised to see that Ryan Gomes has already scored a triple double, 10/10/12. That's a rare feat in the NBA, especially for a guy who isn't the 1st or 2nd option on his team.
Fri Nov 10, 2006 9:08 pm
how about Carlos boozer......sure enough his D needs improvement but he's rebounding and his J has REALLY improved.
Sat Nov 11, 2006 1:29 am
Being as biased as I can be, Quentin Richardson and David Lee. I don't know if Q qualifies since hes been good before, but compared to last season he is doing great so far. and David Lee, leading the team in rebounding off the bench, he might not average a double double but I think he will keep rebounding consistently and should get talked about.

Stole my thunder. I was going to come in and talk about Ryan Gomes.
As for Monta Ellis, I actually am still able to keep in touch with him, I met him at a basketball camp back in the day and we were on the same team. He's lucky Don Nelson came on board, because he wouldn't have gotten the minutes needed to blossom under Montgomery.

Indy, why do you know everyone famous? Seriously, It's unfair.

That's pretty damn cool.

I'll say Hakim Warrick. He has really stepped up his game, ehn Gasol is missing. As NBA.com said, he spent more time on the court in the slam sunk contest. 4.1 Ppg and 2.1 Rpg To 13 Ppg and 5.7 Rpg.
The second guess will be Kevin Martin. He's also stepped his game.
Stats : 10.8 Ppg and 3.6 Rpg To 24.1 Ppg and 5.1 Rpg.

Kevin Martin is just awesome at the moment.
He has improved his shot and there have never been any doubts about his slashing ability, although he still seems to be a bit skinny and could add some more weight and strenght.
But so far he is doing great and I think he can maintain his stats and be a serious MIP candidate.
His freethrow shooting is almost perfect by the way.
I just remembered, in my live 05 dynasty with the Kings I traded Kevin Martin to the Magic in exchange for Stacey Augmon. Oh my goodness, what a crappy deal ^^
You could also name Leandro Barbosa, he is playing very well this season.
Sat Nov 18, 2006 9:30 am
Has Leandro Barbosa not been mentioned?
He's had an increase in all major stats including notable increases in ppg and apg. His stats so far this year:
19.7 PPG
3.6 RPG
5.8 APG
90% FT shooting
He has even raised his 3 PT shooting % from last year, and he's playing 37 MPG. Killer stats, and dude's only getting better.
Sat Nov 18, 2006 5:47 pm
I don't know why anyone isn't mentioning Deron Williams. This guy is the real deal and an eventual superstar. this season is his coming out party
Sun Nov 19, 2006 2:04 am
my prediction to win MIP would be kevin martin, KM has improved a lot this season i think so far he's got the biggest chance of bagging the most improved player this season coming from a 10.8 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 1.3 APG average to a 24.1 PPG, 5.10 RPG, 2.10 APG average stats.
my other picks would be nenad krstic of new jersey nets, leandro barbosa of phoenix suns, anthony parker of toronto raptors, and andrew bynum of los angeles lakers.
