The All-Star game is about popularity, not statistical averages, and I can't stand watching them because nobody plays defense. It's worse than streetball.

Well the NBA obviously doesn't want you to vote for who deserves to play. It says right there on the link "Vote for you favorite player!"

Paul is overrated.

Why do you think the all-star game is messed up every year?

The All-Star game is a popularity contest, and rightfully so. It's all about who the fans want to see in the game. Throw all "fairness" out of the equation.

I didn't pick the obvious people (Lebron, Wade, Kobe, Yao, Carter, Iverson, etc) because they're going to get enough votes without mine.

East:

Bosh
Pierce
Joe Johnson
Arenas
D Howard

West (homerism!):

Matrix!
Odom (I don't have the stomach to vote for Diaw...)
Barbosa (nice to see he isn't a write-in)
Nashty
Manchild! STAT!

Write-in: Kurt Thomas

^^^Visit my blog! Nothing too interesting, but I try to make a post every day, and I try to go in depth. Please leave lots of negative feedback! I want to become a sports journalist on the side some day, and I know I have a looooooong way to go.

***Note: I had make a new URL because for some reason I couldn't log into the old one...bummer.

East

C- D. Howard- I've really become a fan of this kid. Even though he may not be the most polished center in the East, he is still exciting to watch and hopefully I can see him on the receiving end of alot of alley-oops in the ASG.

F- E. Okafor- Came back with renewed determination to play well this season after a few speedbumps last year and has been a rebounding machine. His scoring cant be discounted and it seems that weight has really helped out his game.

F- L. James- One of the better players in the game. His spot is practically automatic.
G- D. Wade- Albeit I am not as big a fan as I was his rookie year he still deserves his spot after turning in great performances last year for his team and coming back this year ready to roll.

G- A. Iverson- I was gonna go for some young guy but then I thought "Wait, thats Allen Iverson." The guy hasnt slowed down at all so I see no reason to omit him.

West
C- Y. Ming- Best big in the league when not injured. Played so well these past few days and its just scary what could happen if he maintains form.

F- D. Nowitzk- Love this guy, what can I say?

F- C. Anthony- Under appreciated guy who I think should always be mentioned in the same sentences as Wade and Lebron considering he is probably the second most clutch guy in the league.

G- Kobe Bryant- Nothing much needs to be said.

G- S. Nash- Cant leave out the MVP.
