Well, they finished the game somewhat seriosuly, even though Philly had a chance to tie it, Melo had a nice game tho!
Sat Nov 11, 2006 1:07 pm
AI and C-Webb only played 14 mins each? Nuggets only win by 7.
Sat Nov 11, 2006 1:48 pm
Glad we got a win on the board, even tho it wasnt so pretty. Melo played great, JR had a good game aswell. I still dont get why we dont start Nene instead of Najera. Also joejam999 we have no good defender to stop Korver and his spot up shooting, thats the reason why he scored 23 points and why the game was much closer.

The Nuggets aren't gonna make the playoffs this year. Utah, Houston, and New Orleans have improved while the Nugs stayed the same. I'm predicting a .500 season at best.
Sat Nov 11, 2006 2:05 pm
Its way to early to say that Axel, Houston could be doomed IF Mcgrady and Yao get injured again which will rule them out of the playoffs. Utah looses Boozer and Kirelenko again to injury as usual. The hornets are the only exception but still their hopes rely on a healthy team also.

I didnt know that happened.
I can see the Hornets and Jazz making the playoffs but the Rockets and Nuggets is another story. Nuggets just have chemistry problems. (K-Mart,Carmelo,Smith,Miller) Why dont they trade for Marbury? That could fix it.

Too bad K-Mart went down, you hate to see that on any team. I know about missing the playoffs or only winning 20 somthing games due to the injury bug.
Sat Nov 11, 2006 2:41 pm
Of course you think the Jazz will make the playoffs, if Denver dont make the playoffs It wont bother me really because it will make them make some serious moves to restructure the team so if missing the playoffs makes us rebuild then i'm all for it.
Sat Nov 11, 2006 3:39 pm
Whenever we get a shake up in our roster, during the season, like Karl coming in 2 years ago, we get on a roll, maybe we should trade K-Mart for someone that can shake up things mid season and get us confedence to get to the playoffs.
Sat Nov 11, 2006 3:52 pm
But if we trade Kmart we are gonna get little to nothing for him so basically it wont change anything. Maybe we can pair him up with either Miller or Boykins and get something descent. If karl plays Hodge i think we will improve, Hodge is a great defender and passer, plus he is athletic and young he will go well with the rest of the team.
In a couple of years i expect the team to look like this
C - Nene
PF - Kleiza
SF - Melo
SG - Smith
PG - Hodge
6th Man - Diawara
Sat Nov 11, 2006 4:05 pm
Didn't Julius get cut?
EDIT: My mistake, the Nugs just didn't give him a contract extension
Sun Nov 12, 2006 11:20 am
yeah i reckon Hodge is gonna be a really good player. He also owns on 2k6

Not for the Nuggets, and I bet no1 will pick him up in FA after this year.
Mon Nov 13, 2006 11:16 am
I think we will keep Hodge. He just hasnt been given a chance but i think he will stay.
Also joejam999 looks like i was right about Kirelenko at least

EDIT: good win by the Nuggets. Almost blew it near the end but we have Mr. Clutch so he didnt let that happen. 2-3 doesnt look to bad anymore compared to 0-3. Carmelo with 36 points is awesome, good to see JR with 17 of his own.

I live in Utah and get all 82 games. I know what happend with AK, that is just how he plays. He steped on someones foot its not like he just runs up the court and all the sudden his foot gives out or something. It was a lucky guess, to say "I was right" is a bold statement.
Mon Nov 13, 2006 5:10 pm
It wasnt a lucky guess, going on his previous history it was an easy assumption it even says in that article, there was no lucky guessing involved.

Good win over the Heat. Melo with 33 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists is solid. Good win to overcome 37 points from D-wade. Puts us a 3-3 .500 which is respectable.
Wed Nov 15, 2006 2:42 pm
Good win for the nuggets against a struggling heat team.
Wed Nov 15, 2006 6:54 pm
Your making our victory sound so easy. Remember they are the defending champions. Everything was against us. It was in Miami, we got no Martin, No one to guard D-wade hence him scoring 37 points. All in all i think we played quite good and am pleased with the result. Carmelo is averaging 30ppg

he is so underatted by everyone, no one remembers he won an NCAA championship when he was a freshman. Everyone says he cant rebound all he can do is score. He averaged 10 rpg in college. Only reason he doesnt do it in the Nuggets is because Camby, Evans, K-mart and Nene steal all his boards.

I smell some Melo love here....Rebounding in the NBA is probably a bit different to college, main reason being bigger bodies to contend with. I do believe Melo to be a good rebounder though, not 10 rpg style though.

sorry, but no way will that happen....I like Kleiza & all, but of those players, I expect only Nene & Melo to be starters....Kleiza might or might not be on team, whether as 6th man or whatnot....but I'd say they'll get some new guards....teams change so much these days, so that's why I don't expect the Nuggets to look anything like that....if they do, they won't be a very good team....
Wed Nov 15, 2006 11:25 pm
i just love current palyers stats: melo 30PPG, Camby 10 rebounds, and Miller 9 assists

just perfect

I hope you realise your head coach George Karl used to often complain about Melo's lack of activity on the glass...
Thu Nov 16, 2006 10:59 am
Pfft Karl was just taking the sides of the haters. He was never a fan of Melo the day he stepped in as coach, the guy is in love with veterans hence why he plays Andre, Camby and that little shithead Earl Boykins a lot. Hes only started to now like Melo but he still doesnt let him play to his full ability.
sorry, but no way will that happen
I know that lineup most likely wont happen, but i see the Nuggets hanging onto Kleiza, George Karl is a big fan of his which is a surprise, also he is a good player when he gets pt. Just look at the WCOB and how he played with Lithuania.
I really hope they get rid of Earl, this guy is terrible he hoists up loads of shots and gets 20% in, he is running the Nuggets, he is also way too small and can play absolutely no defense its disgusting.

i don't think it would take much for Melo to add to his rebounding. Look at guys like Kidd & LeBron.....they average 7plus rebounds a game, but only 2,3 are contested if that. The rest are off FT's (which are easy to scoop up), long rebounds, or they scoop the ball up themselves instead of letting their big man get it
Thu Nov 16, 2006 11:59 am
Just read that Martin is gone for the season.

I think we pretty much have to get rid of him now. Its a waste of money like a big waste of money.
