The jersey looks pretty sweet. Can't wait to see it in action.

As with the free agent signings, I guess if either of the guys play well enough they could possible take Ha Jin Seung spot. Interesting to see what unfolds. I must admit that it has been a quality offseason and I'm pretty excited to see how the team goes, especially with Mo Williams at the point and the CV-Bogut tandem upfront!

Updated the title of the thread so we can keep this one going all season (Saves having to make a new one).

Well the Bucks knocked off the Pistons. Michael Redd had 37pts and many fans are saying he played his best game as a buck. CV was solid except his shooting let him down with 6/21, yet it was good to see him rebound with 12 boards.

Off the 3 bucks that played at the point, none of them has any turnovers. That is quite impressive. Patterson really set the tone for the teams defence and hustle and Bogut's inside presence was more much apparent from the get go.

What did everybody else think of the game?

I thought they played really well. I liked how Bogut and Charlie V played together. Mo seems like he is being more of a pg then a sg like he was last season. I was a little surprised to see more of Brian Skinner then Gadz, but i guess Skinner does have more experience. I wonder how well they will do when a healthy Bobby Simmons comes back? It would be nice for the bucks to be a top team in the east, but this was just one game, and the first game of the season can always be decieptful. But i will enjoy seeing Bogut, Charlie, Michael and co bond and get better as time passes on.

Well we lost to the Raptor. Basicly came down to shooting, they well and truly out shot us. Bad news is CV looks like he's injured his calf and may be out a few games. Positives are Bogut put up solid numbers again and has looked really comfortable this season so far. Next up is Sac-town for the home opener (tomorrow) I believe. I will be looking for the following:

-Redd to have a better all round performance
-Noel or Ilyasova to play decent spot minutes
-Mo Williams to get a few more assists
-If CV doesn't play Skinner and Gadz to show their worth.
-Patterson to shut down Kevin Martin
-Bogut to outplay Miller and have a third straight game with good numbers to get other teams noticing and hopefully attract a few more double teams.

Bogut can show that he is a superior version of Brad Miller :D

And tough loss to the Raptors... I guess it isn't bad cause Toronto aren't a bad team at all. And Mo Williams starting at PG is good! Last season he showed how good he was and now he gets to start. Happy for him :D

Bill Simmons wrote:Who decided it would be a good idea to saddle a crappy coach with a couple of head cases (it's one thing to roll the dice with Charlie Villanueva, but Ruben Patterson?????) and a shoot-first point guard in a contract year (Mo Williams, the runaway favorite to win the Mike James Award for "best stats on a bad team")? A recipe for disaster.

I just read on hoops hype Billups likes what he see's in milwaukee. And next year he can get out of his contract where the Bucks will have some money to spend if they decide to get him. It wouldnt hurt. Especially if they can sign him and bucks get a lottery pick. 07-08 season might be great.

The guy shoots more than TJ Ford does.

From just that one game against the Raptors, I can see that Charlie V and Bogut would be a nice frontcourt combination. Bogut's not particularily fast, but holy shit, he's huge and aggressive.

Hes said he wont say anything about free agency during the season. This is just a stupid rumour that wont go anywhere...

if there's any place Billups is likely to go to it's his hometown Denver.

Out of curiosity, how many people think Billups can play the SG spot... he's got a good shot so I think going to Denver would make for a really interesting scenario...

He can play it, has done so for spot minutes every now and then.

Why you would want him to is beyond me...

BACK ON TOPIC....

I thought the bucks looked really good against the Kings tonight. Nice alleyoop from Charlie B to Charlie V! But they looked really good, just like they did in detroit. Bogut and Charlie V are going to be fun to watch this season. Still Simmons is on the IR, once he gets back we will only get better. I have noticed one thing though, Steve Blake = useless.

The difference is Mo can shoot unlike TJ who throws up a hell of a lot of bricks.

And for those who said Mo can't play the PG spot, he had 12 asts tonight, plus 6 boards and 6/7 shooting. I would say that is pretty damm good.

CV and Bogut have been playing great so far, and surprisingly consistent. Supposedly Bogut has been taking over stretches of the 3rd in the last two games. Nice :P

I think Bogut has realised he isnt only playing for himself in the NBA, hes playing for Australia, thats whats made him more determined IMO, after those horrible WCOB i think he realised he needs to put us on the map etc.

It could be partially due to that I guess. I just honestly think he is a hell of a lot more comfortable this year in the league. He is now at the 5 spot and he's bigger so he can play the way he wants to play a lot more. Also it has really benefitted him having the offence flow through him at the high post. He's getting a lot of touches and being actively involved in the offence. CV/AB/Redd combe looks pretty threatening and if they keep playing this way they will make some noise in the near future.

in retrospect, the purple unis were pretty ugly. Purple, green, and silver? I like the "new" ones a lot because it brings back the old days of the green & red from Oscar & Kareem. In video games they make the green too saturated and too bright... I saw them play with the green unis the other day and it looks really nice... it's a darker green, so it's not as "Christmasy" as people first thought

Even though the jerseys look good, perhaps they are cheaply made lol. Anyone see Charlie Bell loose one of his numbers off the back of his jersey, reminds me of the shit jerseys people wear in social leagues with numbers hanging off :D

haha yeah I did see that. reminds me of the cheapy "replica" jerseys you can buy from the NBA. I could've sworn they sew numbers on the jerseys... Bell's jersey didn't look like it had the numbers sewn on.
