I think Fish will be a great fit for the Jazz. Having a solid veteran there takes a lot of the pressure off of Deron Williams to hit shots; something he isnt great at. As well, the Jazz were really lacking in perimeter shooting last year, so I Fisher fills in that hole nicely. If Boozer stays healthy, and the Jazz can pick up one sure back up for the SG position, I think they're set for the 5th seed in the west, and at least 45 - 50 wins this season.

Why the warriors did that trade is beyond me.

I think it because of Monta Ellis and how he improved throughout the season. The youth movement is what they are basically trying to do ?

Fish has the experience, savvy and leadership that goes along with his shooting to make him a decent NBA PG. As we all konw, he was starting at the PG alongside B Diddy at the end of last season and was doing a great job at that. I agree that he is a good fit for the Jazz.

With the Warriors, I guess it was the fact that they had so many players in the guard rotation but admittiedly, I don't see why they traded their most dependable PG away. He was, at times, an extremely more important player than Davis and also mostly was more efficient than him; even coming off the bench. Sam. is right, it was probably to open up more playing time for Monta Ellis who has shown a lo of promise last year. Still, Fisher would come up handy for the Warriors if B Diddy goes down with injury...

One thing I haven't quite settled on is whether Fisher would fit into a run 'n' gun team... he's not the quickest player so maybe with Don Nelson coming back, he wouldn't have got to play anyways?

I think that's it. Fisher's a good player, but they believe Monta Ellis can step up to the plate. Theres also Fisher's big contract. I think it's a six year 30 something million? I think that played a factor in the trade too.

The fans in Utah love Fisher already. Some of these guys in the NBA like Crymelo (maybe Kobe  )could learn from a guy with alot of class like Fisher. Why the warriors did that trade is beyond me. This guy can hit any shoot and made some nice passes (and a couple bad ones). But hey things change drastically from having J-Rich running to the hoop and now only to have Harpring. Then he stole the ball from Yao twice in the closing minutes of the game wednesday night and also hit a couple big shoots. Alot of us (including me) liked the Fisher trade from the beginning but I think we all do now. Hats off to the Jazz for a good offseason.

Yeah he looked pretty good tonight. The Jazz are pretty damn good, at least against the Pistons.

Well, the Pistons aren't doing that great... I will give it to the Jazz though, they certainly have surprised me. I never expected them to be this strong... but its only 4 games so things should even out. The cool thing is that it shows that no team in the West is a walkover... Even the Warriors won tonight by 3 against Dallas!

Out of the 3 teams to go undefeated so far I would say the Jazz have had the tougher schedule. Blah the Hawks or Knicks could go 3-0 on the Hornets schedule. So who caves first?

All three teams have played teams who have all done mediocre IMO... I think that Hornets and Jazz will both lose their next games... Philly will beat Indiana before losing at Toronto.

Even with their records and how they are playing I wouldnt call Phoenix or Detriot medicore. Jazz are just deep young is some areas but deep.

Detroit is playing without their heart in Ben Wallace... they aren't playing that great either... but the Jazz are just playing pretty good. Better than what I expected. Phoenix are also in a period of transition with getting Amare back into the team and into shape.

With Philly, the look down and out against the Pacers...

Utah look good, but given their history, it'll only be another few games before players start crumbling. They should win their division though, if all remain healthy.

They wont crumble if they stay healthy. That was why they did crumble the last 2 seasons.

Afte giving stupid contracts to Dunleavy and Murphy, the least they could do is trade away another bad one to try and balance things out a bit. It doesn't take to long to reach "Knicks" status...

and Foyle... he was by far their worst signing. At least they got rid of Ericka Dampier though.

i'd rather have dampier than foyle though.... i don't understand why u give 6yrs/44mil to a guy you can have for 1yr/4.5 million.... i read somewhere that interest in foyle from atl and orlando drove up his price but i think that is just total bs... atlanta i can understand but orlando?

LOL!! FOYLE should be paid MINIMUM for how he is playing.. He's just a NO USE player.. Kinda like a player to complete the 15 ROSTERS per TEAM..
