  19 Rebounds by Pierce. He smashed his career best. The thing i can't believe is that a Small Forward getting 19 rebounds is so rare. He also had 29 points. Paul started the day off well with a double double.

Do you mean started the season off well? And his team nearly got the win...

Well Pierce was great last year... if he did the same on a winning team, people would consider him for MVP... maybe this year people will recognise how good he has become! In the prime of his career :D

EDIT: Just saw this:

Several fans chastised the Hornets for warming up during a halftime ceremony featuring former Celtics Tommy Heinsohn, Jo Jo White and M.L. Carr reminiscing about Auerbach. One shouted, "Stop shooting show some respect." Said another: "No wonder you don't have a city." The players then stopped shooting until the discussion ended.

So rude those young Hornets are... the no wonder you don't have a city is gold though :D

It's a new career high... a forum is for discussion, so as long there is something legit to discuss, there isn't a problem right? Maybe a mod can decide on whether this is appropriate or not.

The Celtics played absolutely miserably tonight, yet we still could've stolen that game if Pierce wasn't freaking 7-15 from the line. He did indeed clean the glass, but Chris Paul just picked us apart the whole game. Doc also started Wally at PF for some absurd reason. I'm depressed.

Every fucking day there is someone who goes nuts and does something out of the ordinary... its really not worthy of discussion to just point that out

obviously you've never seen shawn marion play. the scary thing about marion's rebounding game is that he's pretty consistent.

It sounded like you were paying me out for liking the Lakers and it was uncalled for. If you had said it like 'it would be rdiculous for example: blah blah blah', I wouldnt have cared. Typing it all in caps like you did was rude (N) You're just asking for an arguement

naw, he plays out of position a lot, but he's a small forward. it's like boris diaw -- he plays center but in reality he's a swingman.

Zach Randolph - 30 pts and 10 rebs.
Jack played for 44 minutes and got 13,6,6 which is nice.
Roy was sensational with 20 points.
Ime Udoka is the new God.

Redd 37 Points. Thats a huge load in a season opener.
Bogut had 16 points in just 27 minutes shooting 70%.

i don't mind this thread. Why not talk about each day's happenings? this will minimize others from making new threads.

I think it's good to have everyone in one thread talk about each day's games in general. More specific issues can be posted on each team's thread. If someone has a few things to say on a few teams, then this is a good place to post them. Like i said, small events

Nov. 1

Bosh sucked,

Pierce's 19 really shows how good this guy is. He plays a similar game as Marion, less defense, but better shot.

If Odom can stay consistent, Lakers are gonna be pretty good this year. I still think Odom is underrated. He can play all 5 posistions. He just need to be more consistent.

Still early, but Roy for ROY?

Trade Amare while he still has value...BRING IT ON!!!

Charlie V had a good opener (ignore the 6-21 FG...)

EDIT: I'm loving this spell checker on the new Firefox

Wow Pierce with 19 boards thats impressive as he is only 6-6. I'm so glad Amare is doing well, i want him to prove everyone wrong and dominate this season. Good to see Howard is dominating 27 points and 15 boards i think.
