YES!!@#!@# unlimited broadband (xtra), but there are stupid restrictions like p2p during peak hours :x

800MB FTW!

Thu Oct 19, 2006 5:39 pm

^^

Have you watched any yet? I cancelled SKY. Fuck paying 46 a month for less games, horse racing and motorsports. ESPN Asia sucks. TVU is the shit

Im on their broadband 2+ system. Downloaded music (legally) from triplej unearthed website at 1.5 mb per sec. Took 10 seconds to get 3 songs. ;)

80 gb limit for the month too...

i aint complaining.

Thu Oct 19, 2006 7:25 pm

how much a month is that?

Im with optus - I think its a 6gb limit or something. So called 'unlimited' only because it keeps running afterwards, but at 28kbs  wooo...

Fri Oct 20, 2006 8:45 pm

yeah, its a bit rich - $100 a month - but i just cant go back to anything else now. :)

That is the top end of their deals though...dont know your situation regarding money and stuff but for me its a bargain.

Basically streaming anything is a breeze.

This caps down gradually i think from the 24,000kbps to 1500kbps but i dont think i'll go over my monthly allowance too often for that to happen.

:)

Happy internet hunting.

80gb per month  . I'd fill that in 3 weeks.

Sat Oct 21, 2006 1:24 am

Thanks to anyone who tried to help, I got the 'grey screen issue' fixed.
For anyone with the same problem, there's two things I did, not sure which made it work.
- I uninstalled all the codecs on my pc and installed only 3ivx.
- I re-installed VLC Player (used to have it but deleted it) and changed something in the preferences (untick overlay box in 'video').

I've been watching some Raptors training camp stuff, pretty cool.

Whoever created this thread about TVU your a legend. When I installed it the setup told me I had a previous version installed which I never knew because I tried a lot of net tv progs a lil while back and this was not one of the better ones and I forgot to get rid of it. tvkoo and sopcast streamed better for me on my 1.5mbps connection but this version kicks ass tvu have sure damn improved. only minor thing is that it takes a while to load even though my hard drive light isn't flashing like nuts so it must be connecting thru the net or something but it goes damn smooth despite me being in aus. think someone mentioned watching the raptors training camp on there i saw that when i connected and also nba stories with chris paul and dirk nowitzki. just have to see how it performs when streaming an nba game with all the people connected, bloody telstra better start fixing their adsl 2 exchanges.

To my shame i didn't even know free internet tv existed. I'm glad i came across this thread so i dont have to pay for nba tv.

Thu Oct 26, 2006 4:55 pm

I installed it correctly and tested out one of the FOX channels. Worked fine. Streamed fine. My problem? where the heck is NBATV in the channel list? I can't see it. Also, should i run this through the player it provides or another? How? BTW, i'm on a 1.5 speed with a 56GB download limit. (Australia).

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. Some cheerleader special thing on now? Can't wait for a decent half an hour NBA Action type show. Bring on TNT!

Thu Oct 26, 2006 9:40 pm

Yea that cheer leader thing was sexy but brain deadening.

Sat Oct 28, 2006 9:56 am

What games have we got on NBATV today?

Sat Oct 28, 2006 10:00 am

Check the first post, its got schedules. Im watching right now but I think its that nba daily thing

EDIT: Dallas vs San Antonio in 20 minutes on ESPN :)

Sat Oct 28, 2006 10:13 am

That should be great providing the best of both teams get minutes. Doesnt seem to be any games on NBATV today :?

Sat Oct 28, 2006 11:06 am

yea tendo. Just watch Dal v Spurs on ESPN. Spurs up. Ginobili on fire

Sat Oct 28, 2006 5:06 pm

I cannot believe this is free! This is awesome. Thanks to whoever discovered this. (Y)

Anyone know what channel is showing the season opener? (Bulls at Heat, Lakers vs Suns) I know its TNT for U.S but is any international broadcasters like CCTV5, ESPN Asia or anyone else picking them up because unfortunately there is no TNT channel in TVU.

Tue Oct 31, 2006 12:11 pm

prob not ESPN Asia, cos it sux balls. NBA TV on TVU is your best bet

edit: Espn or Espn2

Tue Oct 31, 2006 5:52 pm

yeah i wish TNT was on their, or some other channel that shows TNT games. :(

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:00 pm

I think i get to see it via Fox's new coverage recently added. Unfortunetly i don't think we get the double header.
