New NBA.com Design

Postby Jing on Wed Oct 18, 2006 1:17 pm

What do you guys think? Personally I don't like it as much, maybe thats due to being so used to old designs.

is it just me or do they come up with a new design every year or 2?

I'll get used to it

I think it's alot cleaner looking, I don't mind it. I think it was time for a change.

The one they had going before the last change was my favorite. This one looks nice as well, and its cool to see they gradually changed it. I noticed pages coming up in that format a few days back, so figured this was about to happen. Good Change (Y)

But they do it a bit to often

EDIT: Just noticed the player files, looks good, but a bit empty

EDIT2: Previous season stats are gone, i hope they get them up soon...

About time. I was sick of the previous cluttered version.

From a design standpoint, other than it looking clean, it's better than the previous version because the navigational capabilities and visibility of information is a lot better. Also, using a hierarchy of information in terms of priority (scoreboard, current news) makes this a site I'd visit more often than heading straight to ESPN's site.

It loads faster. (Y)
For me anyway.

But until the previous seasons' player stats are posted, the new design is crap.

looks better, the old one had 5,000 links on the front page, half the time it was hard to find what i was looking for. But i cant watch the videos anymore, must be using an upgraded player, and for some reason my windows wont let me upgrade my player :(

Looks better but I hate the flash menu because I'm not able to open game recaps in new tabs in firefox. Nevertheless, it looks much cleaner (Y)

First time I saw it, I didn't like it cause it was new and i think the front page wasn't updated yet... now that I've seen the new one... it looks pretty good (Y)

I don't like the new player profiles. I think it would be better to keep the portrait photo instead of the new in-game photo.

i liked the one from a couple years back -- 01-02 i believe, when they had point, assist and rebound leaders every night.

Yeah, that was the one before the last update, that one was also my favorite.

This one looks nice, the previous one I really disliked.
