I want to see it quoted though. Another article from the same source says he is "planning to negotiate with Cedric Maxwell".

He is planning to negotiate with Credic Maxwell.... To negotiate the unretiring of his jersey because he's too big of a prima donna not to settle for any other number.

all is said and done with this story as justice prevails....Telfair will be wearing number 30 for the Celtics....probably not for too long, but he won't be wearing Cedric Maxwell's retired number 31 which is great news for all....
