Official site is up... The shoe is so-so, nothing real great. I'll probably buy a pair to kick around in, not necessarily ball unless they're real good, and since they're cheap. Also since Marbury's one of my favorite players lol.

I like the Starbury logo. That was nicely designed. Can't say the same about the shoes, though.

Agreed. How hard is to design a simple shoe? I must admit, if these shoes had a better design, Marbury could be actually doing something special. He could (r)evolutionize the whole shoe business.

Edit: I really don't like this guy. He must be one of the most self-centred person I have ever seen.

Amazing, the guy tries his best to release an affordable line of shoes for the underpivledged and he still gets criticised for the shoes. I guess some things will never change...

Word. Check what the rich kids at niketalk had to say:
He left Nike??:eek :{ @ him. They look like some knockoff Converses.
This belongs in "Other" but on a side note, how hilarious are the NB 574 and AF1 ripoffs? I love it.
OH WHATS THE WORLD COMIN TO

If they didn't go so high around the ankle, Stephon's shoes wouldn't be so bad.

Oh, BTW - Marbury was on Cold Pizza a day or two ago:

Talked about his shoes

Talked about the fiasco last year, but I liked how he said that it was in the past and its time to move on: we dont need any lingering mental effects from last year

talked about his love for NYC

about him and Isiah, and how Isiah has said to come into camp in shape

and of course, Mebury said he is the best pg in the league

I bought the black ones yesterday on launch day.

Why do I get the feeling if someone like Steve Nash released a line like this for $15 everybody would be giving him tons of love.

How do they feel? Do they feel like they're made of the same material as a $70, $80, or $90 pair of shoes, or do they feel like they're made of a $30 dollar shoe material. Also, is the oustide of the shoe leather?

I think some of you people need a reality check...this is a charity gig. It's better than giving away shoes like other stars do because a poor kid can work & save for $15 and feel some respect for himself versus taking a handout.

Even if Steph sold 100,000 of these shoes that money would be chump change for him.

Was never a fan of his game, but this is a real nice deal Steph is giving to the kids.

I'll give a "review" of them this weekend, because I haven't even worn them yet. I'm gonna play some bball in them on Sunday to check out how they feel. My initial impression was that they felt pretty good. Yes they are leather.

You can probably find them on ebay, but don't get scammed into paying more than $15 for them unless you really, really are desperate.

You can say what you want about them. You can call them cheap and low quality, but c'mon, its $15! If they do turn out to wear out quickly, I can atleast say they were worth their price. But I'm sure if you take good care of them like any other shoe, they'll last.

Be careful...those sneakers have a weird effect on people. You wear them, and you jack up bad shots, you don't play defense, you don't make your teammates better, and you become a legend in your own mind.

WTF are you talking about? I'm the best point guard in the state.

Actually, they do feel pretty good and hold up decently. I have a wide foot and I was surprised that they're confortable in these shoes. And I've got a couple comments on them too. I wonder if Marbury's game will change at all while he wears these shoes lol. Also, I think his years are numbered left in the L, so if he's smart[insert joke there] he'll try to get another player (young one hopefully) wearing these shoes as well.
