other than a slight advantage at pg i can't think of anyway the pistons could have matched up to the bulls
pg: billups vs. harper
harper was a shadow of himself due to knee surgeries but he still was a smart effective point guard but billups was pretty well built and would have negated whatever height advantage harper had over him... also billups showed tremendous clutch and leadership

sg: jordan vs. prince
i switched prince and hamilton because it is most likely that prince would guard jordan... anyways i don't care how long prince is, jordan would eat him alive anyways... it doesn't matter how many guys you put on him... and jordan would give prince hell on the defensive end.
adv: chi
sf: pippen vs. hamilton
pippen is long, even longer than prince and he is known as the best perimeter defender along with jordan. he would chase hamilton through screens and use his length to make it tough for him to get his shot off... also pippen was pretty good on the offensive end
adv:chi
pf: rodman vs. r. wallace
many ppl would think wallace has the advantage due to his physical and skill advantage but if there is something that he lacks, it is brains and the fire... both have a reputation of being hottempered but rodman was a smart player not to mention more athletic.. also he had more fire than wallace... wlallace had all the tools to become the best pf in the history of the game but he just wasted it.
adv: chi
c: longley vs. b. wallace
at first glance is would seem like wallace would have a tremendous advantage but chicagos offense didn't exactly run through longley... all he needed to do was provide defense and score some points... also the offensive deficiency of big ben lowers his advantage over longley
adv:det
bench: the bulls bench was deep and had specifically defined roles which would have beaten the pistons bench anyday.... also larry brown didn't often go to his bench so i give the bulls adv
adv:bulls
coach: larry brown is a great coach but phil jackson has proved time and time again how to best utilize his players abilities and egos
adv: chi
others: chicago would have home court adv and they had one of the best crowds in the league back then... also they are freshly coming off a league recording breaking 72 wins season altough the pistons loved the underdog mentality
adv: chi
better players, teamwork, defined roles, coach, bench, and a homecourt advantage would make it difficult for any team to get over the bulls... simply put the pistons are a poor mans bulls
chicago wins 4:1
