My mistake.

Maybe Antonio Daniels? He is undersized at the 2, he plays best at PG.

What position is Baston? 210 sounds pretty skinny for 6' 9"...at least by NBA standards.

The Johnson trade shocked me after his clutch playoff performance...isn't that what Bird loves? I know every team is worried about the salary cap but Johnson makes what, $2.5M a year? If they were that worried you would think they'd trade Saras, $4M a year. If every penny counts...why sign on Baston?

Color me confused.

Baston isn't making much, and deservingly so. He was terrible with the Raps, and he may only be slightly better after his euro experience. He has no post game to speak of, he's not much of a rebounder, and could never hit a shot outside six feet. At best he's a 11th man. If he plays more than about 8MPG, the Pacers are in trouble.

The Johnson deal still makes no sense to me. He was the best option to start at PG, and wasn't making much, and what they got in return was useless. Two waived rookies and a point guard who should have retired already.

Daniels is 6'7 in shoes. Pretty big for a guard.

larry bird obviously likes manning the pg with daniels tinsley and saras.... also they need to save all the money they can for harrington. rumor is that atl want 3mil in cash considerations along with the trade exception and a 1st

From http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a ... 004/SPORTS :

Guard Jimmie "Snap" Hunter is scheduled to sign a contract Wednesday, but it carries only a partial guarantee of about $100,000

I'm happy for Jimmy but he'll probably see zero playing time behind JT, Saras, Marquis and Greene. Article also talks about the possibility of Powell and Marshall staying on the team. I don't really want that since i like the playing style of Baston. And about this:

He has no post game to speak of, he's not much of a rebounder, and could never hit a shot outside six feet. At best he's a 11th man. If he plays more than about 8MPG, the Pacers are in trouble.

You obviously weren't watching ANY Maccabi games since he showed his outside touch many times. He could easily hit open midrange jumpers. He was preety good on the boards as well since he could jump over anyone and grab the ball. Hell, i'd like Pacers to play like this:

JO
Al
Danny
Marquis
Tinsley

and second unit would be:

Harrison (I'm hoping Jeff will be traded (i have nothing personal against him, it's just that i'd like to see David develop - I do hope Jeff gets a chance somewhere else))
Baston
Shawne/Marshall
White
Saras

Powell and Greene would probably spend much of their time on IL... But that's my vision, it probably won't happen :x

The Pacers Starting 5 would be if they get Al:

Foster
J.O.
Harrington
Steve Jackson/Marquis Daniels
Tinsley

Or

J.O
Al Harrington
Granger
S Jackson
Tinsley

Anyone who thinks Stepehn Jackon ain't a Starter, is kidding themselves

All who left Stephen out are thinking he's not wearing Pacers' uniform starting 06/07 season.
