cool, then Im gonna take a look at it for sure

, I read Game´s Theory ...
Hey thx, I was typing try to find my balance ... did not find anything ....
Seems to be a pretty cool duo from Minnesota, I will take a closer look at their LPs, should be something innovative since they are signed by a punk lable.

The Roots, haven't really listened to Game Theory but I'm looking foward too. Some songs I like by the Roots are...
Star
The Seed 2.0 - (Cody Chesnutt kicks ass)
Break you off
And a whole bunch of other songs from the phrenology cd and the tipping point.

Wow Black Sheep's Wolf In Sheep's Clothing blew my ears off, I don't understand how an album like that goes so unnoticed. It's now one of my 10 fav albums all-time.

Kokane - Back 2 tha clap - haven't listened to it much, it's okay I suppose..
JT Tha Bigga Figga - Drop Your Thangs (Just Box) - haven't listened to it yet..
Masta Killa - Made In Brooklyn - same with above
Obie Trice - Second Rounds on Me - it's pretty good for an Obie Trice album lol.
Busta Rhymes - Big Bang - it's okay, I prefer his older stuff
Raekwon - The Davinci Code: The Vatican Mixtape Vol. 2 - decent
Kead Da Sneak - The Farm Boyz (Special Edition) - havent listened
Mobb Deep - The Infamous - Shook Ones Pt II <3 (I saw on Mixmakers a thread about Prodigy dead

)
Bullys Wit Fullys - The Infrastructure - haven't listened
The Turf Terminators - Welcome 2 Da Turf - the rhymes are meh but the beats are okay, Turf Termination is the best song on there..
They are just some recent albums I've 'got'
When did you start listening to hip hop so much?

Anyone here listen to Jamie Foxx? There are a few songs from his CD that are just amazing.
Love Changes ft. Mary J. Blige - Beautiful duet, nice song, really liking it.
Can I take you home- Jamie Foxx doing another great song, really loving this song.
Heaven- probably one of the greatest love songs I ever heard. It's not hi-tech or anything, just Jamie Foxx, a Piano, and beautiful lyrics, anyone here please give it a listen.

I hate Jamie Foxx and wish he would die. However, I'm not surprised his album is good.

Lately I've been listening mostly to Blue Collar by Rhymefest and Aquemini by OutKast with a little Illmatic here and there.

Rhymefest - Bullet (ft. Citizen Cope)
Blue Collar is a a very solid album, Rhymefest is quickly becoming one of my favorite present-day rappers. I think Blue Collar could be a classic album someday.

The Jamie Album is quite good. Extravaganza has a beautiful beat (no wonder, produced by Kanye) and some other songs are tight, too. (U still got it feat. Common

)
I did not like Blue Collar, I listened to it recently, but Rhymefest does not really convince me, although he is from Chi and quite ok.
Aquemini is so nice, one of the best LPs ever, the best Outkast LP for sure, favorite tracks: "Skew It On The Bar-B" and "Da Art Of Storytellin Part I", second is one of the best tracks Outkast has ever made in my opinion.
Im listening to Naughty By Nature/A Tribe Called Quest at the moment, lil bit old-school, I like it.

As I said in the Rap/RnB thread, Rhymefest is a solid rapper, but does not really attract my ears (sry I just dunno how to express, you know what I mean

)
Song of the day: The Pharcyde - Hey You

That's so weird that you mentioned it, I just 'acquired' it not 2 minutes before I read this post.

Blue Collar is the shit really, I could have that Bullet song on repeat without getting annoyed but the whole CD is too good to listen just 1 song.
No skits, not too many featured artists like many "new" rappers do, good flow and nice beats and honest/meaningful rhymes.
9/10.

no doubt thats a classic album, it went gold i think
they had that big single "The Choice Is Yours"
alot of classic hip hop albums dropped around that time like Cypress Hill's debut, Ice Cube Death Certificate,De La Soul Is Dead, A Tribe Called Quest Low End Theory.

Jamie Foxx album is pretty good. It's a good album to make love too. Nothing I would listen to in the car or anything like that though.

Rhymefest definatly isn't a very great rapper but he's a good songwriter and the lyrics are really nice. I love alot of the production work on that album too. Kanye and Cool-N-Dre, 2 of my favorite current day producers.

Agreed, Bullet is just flawless, he got some good hip-hop music in there plus some club bangers like Stick and Go Out Clothes, he got the best of both worlds.

Well those producers are awesome, although I dont have a Kanye Sig, you should know I am more than a great fan, he is a Fantastic producer, "Be" for example is (except two tracks by J Dilla) completely produced by Kanye.
But as you said, Rhymefest aint a more-than-solid rapper, I do not like his voice, best track for me is "More"
Hey and I just read some minutes ago that the new Mos Def LP will be out in September, hopefully not that rocky, although "The New Danger" had its good songs anyway.

RL's from Next new albums more for listening to while having sex.

I just "got" DMX's new album along with Obie Trice's. I've heard very good things about Obie's album, so I'm really anticipating it. I need to give X a couple of listens. The only thing I don't like about his stuff right now is when he puts out mainstream joints, he usually gets production from Swizz Beatz and they end up sounding the same. It's definately not the same X as it used to be though...

That would be
3 of your favourite producers. Although both of them have a habit of relying on the sample to sound good. There's very little done to the sample to make it sound any different than how it originally was. And I don't like that about them.
