The only time people dunk is on break aways, when bigmen are near the bucket, and every now and then you'll get a nice posterizing dunk by VC or Wade or JRich etc., and that's the way it should be.

WOOO just held NJ Nets to 65 points in a 48 min game on HOF

you have to hold down the right trigger button & hit the shot button at the same time....the right trigger button is the aggressive modifier button....

this is for XBox 360, so buttons might vary....but with aggressive modifier you will be able to dunk

I've been playing the game the last week or so & am very impressed. Although nothing could have prepared for my joy when I decided to start an Association with the lowly Hornets :P I knew Association was better than Live's Franchise Mode, but I didn't expect it to be this much better. Everything is cleaner, laid out better, there's mock draft, NBA player comparisons for draftees (granted they appear to be best case scenarios), owners have personalities with what they want done for their teams. Trade blocks, I can go on & on. I'm sure there'll be stuff that could be better, but damn, I haven't seen a bball game make such a jump in dynasty modes since Live 2000 came out for the PC.

If anyone wants more details or pics, then let me know. You'll probably see a bunch of them in my Hornets' dynasty that I will start in this section in the coming week

I love this game too. I have this Magic Association where my starting lineup consists of:

C. Pryzbilla (81)
PF. Howard (99 lol)
SF. Artest (92)
SG. J.R. Smith (85)
PG. Jameer Nelson (87)

My bench is made up of Milicic who is an 81, some awesome SF guy I drafted who is an 81, Barbosa and David West. All the other guys are just fillers lol. Pretty stacked, but it's too fun to play with.

Oh, and in the PAL version, there arent any videos dangit.

Sometimes I just love to screw around with a team, yesterday I just did a whole bunch of trades just for fun and here is the team I ended up with.

T.Ratliff/J.Pryzbilla/S.Hunter/D.Diop
B.Diaw/D.Gooden/A.Varejao
L.James/G.Lynch/L.Jackson
L.Hughes/L.Spreewell
J.Terry/N.Robinson/E.Snow or D.Jones(one of those doesn't really matter)
And at one point I had 3 1st Rd picks, 1 2nd Rd pick, and 2 future 1st Rd picks.

After all the trades my team chemistry was at 19 to 21%. I just simmed the games to see how much the team chemistry really affected my team. When I went to the development screen it showed my team Overall: 86 Offense: 83 Defense: 90. But then when I went to play a game, at the choose side screen, it showed my team like this Overall: 79 Offense: 72 Defense: 81. I simmed what was left of my season and the team went like 25-27. I didn't know team chemistry could effect your team so much.

Do any of you guys know if team chemistry effects when you play, or does it only effect simmed games? Oh, and in Association mode, where does it tell you how good the up coming draft class is (or maybe it doesn't)

the AI for this game is horse shit sometimes, i hope they fix it for 2k6. i was the celtics playing against the spurs, and i was pretty much up the whole game. i know the bullshit that happens with teams making a run in the 2nd half so i played absolute tenacious defense on every possession. fast forward to one minute left in the game, the score was tied 104-104. yes - 104-104 -- tim duncan shooting over double teams, tony parker posting over tony allen and shooting fadeaways -- you know, the usual horseshit to bring them back in the game. anyways,i just received a long outlet pass from al jefferson and i was all alone for a breakaway dunk with paul pierce........ AND I MISSED. what the fuck? they missed the next possession so i attacked the rim with gerald green and got fouled. made 1 out of 2. there was 13 seconds left on the clock and i was up 105-104, they had the ball at half court. what happened next made me break my controller. the lane was clogged, i had olowakandi, jefferson and pierce camped in there and tony parker just bulldozed his way in and swished a layup. not a rattle, a swish. what the fuck was that? i had that team on lock for 45 minutes at least, and the last 3 minutes they came back from a 10-0 deficit to win the game. horse shit.

and no, it wasn't the sliders. the sliders are fine. it was horse shit.

yeah reverse controls is really frustrating, when i was playing 24/7(im not any more) i didnt think i'd ever beat it. You pretty much just have to shoot 3's.

I got 2k6 today preowned for only £15 and it is very good. I have come to a couple of conclusions. 2K6 is a lot better if you like a realistic basketball game and I agree when people say Live is like amn arcade game. Although I prefer Live because of the format and display and for two player mode.

PS - how do I look at box scores in 2k6?

I beat 24/7, I found it easy just very time consuming. Going back through and beating everything twice was the gay part, and it still says like 90 something percent done and I beat it.

On the calendar screen, you have to change it to Daily View (with the black button I think) or whatever it is. Then just press the A button on whatever game you want to see. I don't know what button it is on other consoles, but that's how it works for Xbox.

How do I change the player numbers and footwear? Also is there anyway to view ratings such as offesnive clutch, defensive clutch and potential?

To change a number just go to rosters (assuming you mean during association mode) and go to edit numbers... theres only one overall clutch rating, but it's better turned off. And you can only view the potential of the players before they are drafted by scouting them at least twice.

I'm not sure, I play with clutch off so I wouldn't know, but I thought it was just in with the regular ratings? But I'm probably wrong.

Also how do I change player positions. I wanna change Iverson to a PG cause he always gets the all-star start at SG ahead of Wade.

Fuck me, I have Ron Artest on my team and he's 98 overall and he asks for a 6 year, 10% back contract, starting at 17.90mil, then rises until 28.83mil in 2014. Wow.

And I won the championship so yeah.. nearly 100% chemistry.

Edit: Sam Cassel is 40 years old, 87 overall and is asking for a 3 year contract

Is there any way I can create more players than 10. I was looking to create the new rookies and it stops saying Add New Player after I've created 10. Kinda sucks. I play on the XBox by the way.

I think there's a trick that you sign those players to a created team, then delete the created team or something and they'll be available. I can't remember, there was a trick in 2k5.
