If not you could also use 2pac - Keep you're head up
That track is not about bling bling etc. and has a very positive message.

I'm pretty sure some of you are familiar with immortal technique. What I wanted to know is if there is something comparable concerning his lyrics? Songs like Dance with the devil or You never know just make you think about more important things in life. So is there something comparable?
Fri Jul 07, 2006 11:12 pm
I am not that familiar with Immortal Technique ... only heard one track ...
But if you talk about tracks makin you think about other things in life, whatcha mean ? Other things than bling bling, hoes and dope ?
With Talib youre kinda right ... one of the better, if not the best lyrical Mcees.
What I like about Common, especially on Be, his latest LP, is just that he can paint pictures with his style of rappin, using stylistic devices and stuff, some of the sweetest metaphors I have ever heard in rap are written by Common.
In my opinion these Mcees are the only future of non-gangsta rap .. conscious rap is just the real thing for me .... Lupe Fiasco has some tracks were he reaches this conscious style a bit imo ... but there aint many other and the whole rap game is just dominated by gangstas and wannabe gangstas ..
About Mos I have to say he is cool, but for me personally, he is not in the same category like Talib or Common, but I like his innovative style.
That whole gangsta shit is why I am rooting for things like the Pharcyde or The Jurassic 5 at the moment ..... that is hip hop.

C-Rayz Walz- Battle Me is a sick song. So is Walk Through by him. He's like "I walk through the ghetto holding my dick---tionary, others are mad and pissed I exist off of spit and they still trapped in ignorance." It's a sick song.
