Dampier > Nene

.
This year's FA's suck. Ben Wallace is the only prolific free agent left. Next are Mike James and KVH.
Mon Jul 03, 2006 7:40 pm
The only team that I can think of that would trade for Nene now is the Knicks.
Mon Jul 03, 2006 8:59 pm
Denver have way too many big contracts now Kenyon, Carmelo, Camby, Nene and Miller are making at least 7m.

Nene's contract is ridiculous.....anything less than 20 & 10 is unnacceptable. He hasn't even showed any signs of earning it.
So do you think Ben Wallace's contract be "ridiculous" as well?

DJ Mbenga re-signed by the Mavericks.
The Blazers also signed Nikoloz Tskitishvili (claimed off waivers or something)

Maybe the blazers will actually play him. He cant be a massive bust until we see him play more. We all thought Darko was a bust until he actually got a chance to play in Orlando.

lay off, he doens't know how to do math, he has a "disability".

Yeah, I've always wanted to really see him play. I always used to have him in my dynasties.

Little article that talks about Ben Wallace and the 2 offers he's been given. Im guessing he's staying with Detriot, Chicago's only offering him an extra mill a year.

Peja Stojakovic's half-season career with the Indiana Pacers is over, so the team will turn its attention to a more familiar face as a potential replacement.
Al Harrington, a forward who played the first six seasons of his NBA career with the Pacers, is one of their primary targets. The feeling is mutual.
"I know there has been some interest there in Indiana," Harrington said when reached by telephone late Saturday night at his offseason home in Los Angeles.
"I've always considered Indiana home. To come back, it would be like I never left."
Harrington has strong ties to the Pacers and Indianapolis, aside from beginning his career there. His parents and brother still live here. He remains close friends with former teammate Jermaine O'Neal. And, although he became frustrated by his role while backing up Ron Artest, he has fond memories of playing for a winning team.
Its not likely to come true, but it is a possiblity.

Would their MLE really be enough to get him?
In other news, it seems that Dallas has offered their full MLE to bigger than Jesus point guard Mike James.

That's a pretty smart move for Atlanta, it'll be interesting to see how Claxton handles a starting job.
Tue Jul 04, 2006 8:07 am
He's more of an impact player off the bench. I don't its a good move for Atlanta. They need a proven stater. I was thinking Mike James. He would increase their scoring more than Speedy.
Tue Jul 04, 2006 8:10 am
About time they get a decent point guard.

Next time a link would be nice..

To CK, surely Bobby Jackson will make a semi-valid replacement?
Tue Jul 04, 2006 10:42 am
bobby jackson would make a much better replacement than speedy claxton..... i remember his kings days where he would be coming off the bench for mike bibby and although he played fewer minutes, he still outplayed bibby in most games
Tue Jul 04, 2006 10:51 am
a freaking me first pg to bolster their roster... not too sure about the effect it would have on the young guys.... i was thinking more on the lines of a brevin knight type of pg.....
and since stojakovic is signing with no, we know why bird wanted shawne williams..... with stojakovic leaving, it leaves them pretty weak at the sf... i was stupid to have doubted bird
