I was just thinking about those passes Kidd did for TD in the all-star game and to K-Mart off the glass. And if those are considered assits then would the T-mac's shot off the glass to himself would be an assist to himself?

No, I don't think so. You can only get assists on your stats when you pass the ball to another teammate and he manages to score off it.

ok so what ur saying the Kidd pass off the back board to K-Mart was NOT an assist??

No, an assist can only be registered when one player passes to another player. T-Mac's pass to himself would count as a field goal attempt if it counts in the boxscores at all.
