Milwaukee's gonna have a tough time filling a 12 man roster. They're already about 8 mil over the cap and desperately need backcourt help and some more depth.

Their only guards now are Redd, Williams, Bell and Ilyasova, who I believe is still playing overseas. They should now be looking to deal one of their big men (Gadzuric, Magloire or even Bobby Simmons) for some backcourt help. Maybe they could ship Magloire to Washington for Antonio Daniels? They're certainly gonna need the defense, and he could be an excellent sixth man.

There are also reports that Radmanovic might be traded to Bucks. Could that work though. Redd with Radmanovic, Charlie V, and Bogut? Maybe Mo Williams could play point guard.

Well, when I found out, I was shocked. I never even thought of trading away charlie...seriously man, I cant believe he's gone. He's a future superstar...why? I know they needed a PG, but still, Charlie V?....
I'm not sayin its a bad trade, im jsut sayin, it hurts me to see charlie v leave :(

Well I guess Milwaukee wasn't sold on trading their starting point guard for Pape Sow or Loren Woods.

And Almighty, Radmanovic is a free agent, and judging by the logjam the Bucks now have in the frontcourt, I doubt he'll sign there.

A bit of a surprising trade. While TJ Ford isn't a selfless point guard he is an upgrade over Mike James in that area, but I didn't expect the Raptors would be willing to give up Charlie V so soon. I expect Williams still start for the Bucks since he was putting up Sixth Man of the Year numbers before he got injured last year.

Mo Williams is a good PG, and assuming they dont trade Magloire for a PG he will be there starting point guard. He's like Earl Watson, hes small but he plays both. I'm not so sure acquiring Vlade is a good idea for them though. They'll have a tough time defensively, and Vlade is almost exactly like Charlie as far as playing style except Charlie can go inside better and Vlade shoots better.

If TJ can be like he was at Texas (I feel slowly but surely hes returning to that) he'll be insane for the Raps. He's already one of the quickest guards in the NBA. The Raps will be a great run and gun team because everyone in their starting unit will be able to get out and run and its obvious thats the offense Colangelo loves best.

If anything, he will make Bogut's life easier in the post as he Charlie V will open up the midrange and allow Bogut to operate on the block.

Magloire is more of a blackhole compared to Villanueva, still Bogut did just fine.

Magloire barely got the ball in the post to begin with, Charlie is going to be more of an offensive option meaning he'll take alot more shots. Obviously Bogut will have an easier time in the post, but that doesn't mean he's going to get the ball any more than he already is.

Im assuming you watched more Bucks games than me, so i'll take your word for it.

But the very few games i've seen from the bucks, once Magloire got the ball, there was no way he's passing it out.

As for Charlie V, he did a pretty good job coexisting with Bosh. Bosh got a fair amount of touches even with Charlie V and Mike James on the team. with that said, I see no reason why Bogut will get less touches than he did last season.

If they play Charlie at PF and Bogut at Center, then Radmanovic would fit perfectly at SF. We need someone who can score off the bench. Kukoc is a FA and i dont know if he will be back.

Magloire hardly got the ball in the paint to begin with. He was just there to grab rebounds and play D really.

The Bucks GM has said that Charlie will be the starting power forward with of course Bogut in the middle, even though I think using Bogut and Gadzuric inside and Charlie at the 3 would be better.

And I think I'd rather have Simmons starting at 3 than Radmanovic. The defense would be even worse, and Vlade does the same job as Charlie.

Current Bucks Roster

Big men
Jamaal Magloire
Andrew Bogut
Charlie V
Dan Gadzuric
Joe Smith
Ersan Ilyasova
Damir Markota (rookie)

SG/SF
Michael Redd
Bobby Simmons
Jiri Welsch
David Noel (rookie)
Jermain Jackson

Point Guards
Maurice Williams
Charlie Bell

So they have a good mix of each position, they just need to trade Magloire for a good PG. If they can do that and sign Radmanovic i see the Bucks as a top 5 team in the East. Ive read that Bogut is really working out back in Australia, he really wants to make more of an impact this year. From watching him last year, he looks like he could be alot better, especially if they give him the ball more. They really didnt post him up that much last year. This is all very exciting. I cant wait to see where Magloire goes.

Wow. This trade makes sense for both sides, although I firmly believed that Ford is untouchable, considering he's a PG and those are harder to get than PFs.

Its true Bogut will make more of an impact if they start feeding him the ball more. He has a very good FG %

Good trade by Bucks.....Looks like Bogut shifts to C, Villy to PF and Magloire is traded sometime soon. Bucks also have Williams who is better offensively than Ford and Bell who is way better defensively.

TJ Ford is probably a 6th man IMO, at least for a playoff team. He still has to learn to harness his speed & quickness and acquire a jumpshot.

I dont think Magloire will go to the raptors, dont you think the ford/charlie deal would have been bigger if he was going there? Plus we wouldnt trade Mags for crap like Rasho or Mike James. come on. I know james can score alot, but i certainly wouldnt want him. It looks like the bucks GM is doing a great job of putting a nice young team together. Im sure he will find a nice young PG that fits in our system.

You can't trade James yet, he's a free agent, and will likely find a team who will give him a MLE (my guess is Houston). And the Bucks are looking to free up salary and add depth at another position by trading Magloire, so Nesterovic makes no sense at all for them, as he would be an overpriced backup center, when they already have 2.

:x :x :x

I'm not liking this deal at all. I know TJ Ford is a good player, and talent wise they maybe equal, but i really like CV. He had a lot of potential, DAMN YOU BC!!!
But a part of me saw this coming, after he drafted Bargs.

Good luck CV, keep doing what you do, you'll be a all-star one day..

Who will be brought in to play back-up for Mo Williams? Juan Jose Barea might be an alternative. And if he isn't, he should be.

This trade was made in my opinion so Milwaukee can move on Maglorie now and have Bogut playing Center and Charlie playing PF, a good young front court which will develop nicely. Mo Williams will get more minutes and so will Charlie Bell. Toronto made a good trade as they were in need of a point guard and they can move James along.

Pretty understandable trade yet it was unknown to everyone. :?
