Wow, T-Wolves picking Aldridge in a mock draft written up by a Minny fan is no surprise
Mon Jun 26, 2006 6:53 am
lol. Hey i had to save someone good for my guys.
Mon Jun 26, 2006 7:01 am
Wolves better take Roy or Foye.

I'm fairly sure the Bulls will pick Aldridge over Tyrus Thomas, I really doubt Minny will get LaMarcus.

I'm pretty sure the Raps will take Aldridge.

I'm fairly sure the Raps will take Morisson.

I wonder who the Blazers will pick, I'm hoping it's someone decent (Morrison, Ghey), instead of someone with bust written all over them (Thomas)

Jerry, you're starting to get under my skin, and thats fairly rare since I'm normally pretty tolerable of brain-dead spammers and I just ignore them.
Its pretty simple: If you don't know, then why bother posting? You're disrupting the discussion and you're not contributing at all to the thread. Stop spamming, this isn't MSN so you can't type out your every thought, no one cares for that here.
Anyway, I agree with some of the other people. Adridge will be gone by 6. I also think Shelden Williams should be a bit lower since Atlanta would most likely try and draft a point guard.

First of all the Bobcats are not going to draft Rudy Gay as the Bobacats like what they have in Gerald Wallace. Second of all, Thomas will not go to the Bulls because he would fit the SF position greater than if the drafted a true PF like Aldridge. Also, I dont see Rondo falling that far in the draft. Teams have liked what they have seen from him in numerous workouts and I beleive that he is skyrocketing up draft boards. I also don't know about Hassan Adams being drafted by Dallas. They would much rather have the hometown kid Tucker or even Denham Brown. They could also go Bowman in that situation.
Nice picks at number 1 with Bargnani. Im pretty sure that the Raptors are leaning towards him. Nice pick at 9 with O'Bryant beacuse he will fit the team nicely and can play a little defense (what GSW needs). Nice two picks for the Hornets as I am really high on Ronnie Brewer. This kid can fill in for J.R Smith if he gets shipped out. The only problem I have there is that Brewer isn't the best shooter and might not compliment Chris Paul's style too much.
ALSO, Aaron Gray cannot be selected anymore because he pulled out of the draft, so you might want to change that pick.

Apparently the Bulls have promised to select Thomas. I can see Aldridge dropping past six. My prediction is as follows:
1) Raptors take Bargnani
2) Bulls take Thomas
3) Bobcats take Roy
4) Blazers take Morrison
5) Hawks take Shelden Williams
6) Wolves take Gay

I just don't see the Timberwolves taking Rudy Gay because he had a pretty poor workout. Apparently, the Timberwolves are really high on Randy Foye and he had a super workout with the team. He was playing lock-down defense, hitting everything he threw up and getting to the hoop at will in their scrimmage games. I've been a fan of Foye in the games I've seen him play at Villanueva and I wouldn't object the Wolves taking him or Brandon Roy.

Do you really think the hawks (despite the garuntees floating around), will take Shelden if Lamarcus is available?
Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:29 am
LaMarcus ain't going that low.....
Mon Jun 26, 2006 10:56 am
Seems like Randy Foye had many good work outs. He also had a great work out with the Raps, with Gay and Morrison in the workout. Who knows he might be a 5-10 guy in this draft especially with Hawk, Celtics, and Rockets may be looking at guards.

You saw Foye play at Villanueva's house? Lol, you mean Villanova. I know its a typo, but I made the same mistake when Charlie Villanueva was drafted, thought his name was Charlie
Villanova at first. Anyways, like I said earlier, I doubt Aldridge will be there by the time its Minny's turn (or do I think the Timberwolves would select him if he was available). My best guess for the Raptors with the first pick is that they are either drafting Aldridge or Bargnani (these two I think are the highest possibility). The other possibilities with a really small chance are drafting Rudy Gay first, or trading down for Marcus Williams.

Not a bad mock. I tend to disregard the "promise" rumours you hear. They can be smokescreens. Unless of course you hear them from Golden State, because they're always true for some reason (Beidrins, Diogu).
Here's my mock:
1) Raptors-Adam Morrison
2) Bulls-LaMarcus Aldridge
3) Bobcats-Rudy Gay
4) Blazers-Tyrus Thomas
5) Hawks-Marcus Williams
6) Twolves-Brandon Roy
7) Celtics-Andrea Bargnani
8) Rockets-Shelden Williams
9) Warriors-Ronnie Brewer
10) Sonics-Patrick O'Bryant
11) Magic-Randy Foye
12) Hornets-Rodney Carney
13) Sixers-Cedric Simmons
14) Jazz-Jj Reddick
15)Hornets- Hilton Armstrong
16)Bulls- Maurice Ager
17)Pacers- Rajon Rondo
18)Wizards- Mardy Collins
19)Kings- Thabo Sefoloshar
20)Knicks- Quincy Douby
21)Suns-Saer Sene
22)Nets- Alexander Johnson
23) Nets- Kyle Lowry
24) Grizzlies- Paul Davis
25) Cavaliers- Guillermo Diaz
26) Lakers- Darius Washington
27) Suns- Sergio Rodriguez
28) Mavericks- James Augustine
29) Knicks- Marcus Vinicius
30) Blazers- James White

I think Nick has a pretty good mock. I would probably agree with about 80% of it, that includes Morrison at #1. I haven't heard a lot of rumors about Morrison going to the raptors, but i like him, and i think he'll be a great NBA player. Hawks taking Williams and Twolves taking Roy makes a lot of sense. Just what they need, they drafted for best player available, and position.

1) Raptors - LaMarcus Aldridge (needs a bigman with talent and a future)
2) Bulls - Tyrus Thomas (needs a skilled big to complement Gordon, Deng, Hinrich & Nocioni)
3) Bobcats - Adam Morrison (needs a strong offensive presence, Morrison will deliver)
4) Blazers - Rudy Gay (needs a talented player, Rudy will be inconsistant at first but will gain the skills and confidence in a few years)
5) Hawks - Andrea Bargnani (has alot of potential and will develop nicely in atlanta)

why would Toronto pick Aldridge when they already have Bosh and Villanueva whom switch from PF and C back and forth. Isn't Aldridge a PF anyways? That's why I see them taking Adam Morrison and the Bulls taking Aldridge and I think Jordan will put his magical faith in Rudy Gay and hope he doesn't turn out to be another K Brown
