If you look at the scouting reports some draft busts throughout the past couple of years like Darko, Kwame and Diop it seems weird because these guys are being compared to Garnett (Kwame), Bob Lanier (Diop) and Tracy McGrady (Darius Miles). They seem so good in college and high school like Eddy Curry had amazing stats. I found it quite interesting how these guys were interpreted before they were drafted.

FYI, nbadraft.net comparisons are bullshit.

This thread sucks.

Darko never got playing time in Detroit, looked good in Orlando at the end of the season but he was practically a rookie all over again since he actually got to play.

Diop had a great finals, hopefully he'll keep it up.

Darius Miles is hardly a flop, he's just a bitch.

Kwame got alot better this year, give him time. Just because he's not a 20/10 player immediately doesn't mean he's a bust.

i think the comparisons are more of a refrence to how good they can be, or their style of play.

i found it wierd also, but idk i havent seen no rookies come out
with 25ppg so they cant be immideatley a bust.

How's 5 years not enough? His skills actually regressed from a couple of years ago. His jumpshot is gone and so is his passing, not to mention that he has hands made out of stone.

Probably the most outrageous comparison in Nbadraft.net was comparing DeShawn Stevenson to Michael Jordan.

He's a man who had sex with a 14 year old girl. I'm glad he has morals.

Please stop this, let's talk about basketball
NBAdraft.net is a good web site, maybe they are sometimes wrong about a player , but it is difficult to know how a player will improve (it also depend onthe team that will draft him : exemple darko, j oneal....)

When he was in Utah playing for the Jazz in his rookie year he was charged with statutory rape because he had sex with a 14 year old girl. No joke.

Who's better at this stage? they're both destined to be the next big thing... Oden, the next Wilt, Russell, Walton, Kareem and Shaq and alltogether and Mayo, the next Lebron James.

I know Oden belong to the 2007 draft class, what about Mayo? coz he isn't listed in the 2008 mock draft.

My current favorite comparison according to nbadraft.net: Adam Morrison/Larry Bird.

Wow.
