I'd also think Wade has become some what of a better player since the beginning of the year.

I'm ready to see the Mavericks choke once again next year in the playoffs. It seems every year they get closer and closer to the title but something always seems to screw up. Dirk anyone? He seems to do pretty well up until it matters. Maybe Dallas will make it to game seven next year only to lose the game at the buzzer. We shall see. I personally think San Antonio or Phoenix will be in the finals next year but who knows.

If Amare return to the form he was in last season PHX should have no problems getting into the finals, provided they don't have any other serios injuries. We'll have to see what happens in the off season with the Eastern conference. Miami could well get up their again, but they could lose a few key role players. There are still rumours spreading about the Pistons loseing one of the Wallace's if im correct. Wonder if Houston can finally have the season we all expect from them? Wonder if NJ can make one more push? Maybe Indy can return to form? They best hurry before the Magic and the Bulls are at their strongest in a few years!

But in about 2 years there should be another long time before heat win a
champion ship (Mourning, Shaq, Payton, maybe Walker(3)) But still good
stuff by mami, although it wouldve been great if JT made that wide open
3 pointer...25 feet isnt so far  whats the big deal lol, Knicks for playoffs 06-07.

1) This season they failed because other than T-Mac and Yao nobody was ready to hold down the fort while their stars were injured. Add stronger players other than them is all I can say, and I haven't seen too many games but someone other than McGrady and Yao Ming have to be able to play basketball.

2) New Jersey isn't really going anywhere until their bench develops. As of now, all we can do is sit there and watch a suffering bench, an aging but aggressive Jason Kidd, and a developing star in Nenad Krstic. Anyone also see chances of Richard Jefferson exploding for big point totals last year like he did in the playoffs? And Vince Carter just HAS to stop forcing shots. During the games it's pathetic how RJ or Krstic will be calling for the ball and Carter just cuts through 3 defenders to try and finesse it to the rim.

3) In a few years, Miami's going to be total crap unless they start trading people like Antoine Walker, Gary Payton, and Shaquille O'Neal for draft picks in a year or two. These players, as we've seen in the playoffs, are slowly becoming fading stars and even though they had their bursts of magnificence it wasn't enough. Look towards the future now, someone. I know I read about Payton contemplating retirement, the others really aren't too far away. :x

4) The Magic and Bulls are going to be the hell of the East in a few years, and at this point I wouldn't count the Raptors out of the running to slowly climb to best in the East too. All have talented young players who show extraordinary potential for their age, and now the pressure is on for the '03 draft class to match Wade's title achievement. Anyone else like the concept of a Magic inside/outside tandem by adding JJ Reddick to the squad? And even though it will take a lot longer, Charlotte's not too far from reaching the playoffs. If everyone stays healthy and the draft is kind to them....just keep hoping.

I stayed up till 5.30am to watch that and it was worth it. Wade is a top 3 player no doubt and has such a smooth jumper. I'm sure Joe Dumars is kicking himself now thinking back to 2003 when he picked Darko. The game shows how Shaq has declined rapidly this year. Also Heat wanted it more no question. Mavericks choked really bad, especially Dirk. Can't believe he could not make one basket in the fourth and that was not a season MVP performance.

In the Western Conference finals I felt Dirk definitely should've won the MVP but Nash would not have turned in a series like Dirk has. For a team that has played excellent defense all year and been outstanding on homecourt just did it all for nothing because they threw their chance of winning the championship away too many times (Game 3, Game 4, Game 5 they just needed to win one game to be one win away from the championship)

Remember 15 Strong.. These guys from the Heat have paid their dues and they are most deserving of the NBA title.. To see someone like Zo (who was motivated by Lance Armstrong's books) to come back from liver transplant and to play the way he did this year. And to see him with his Championship hat on and a bottle of mowet in his hand.. just makes you feel warm inside.. And too see guys like Jason Williams, Antonie Walker, and Posey whom have been on several teams and been labled underacheives and for all of them to come together at the end to win the champion.. It has to warm your heart ... There is alot of life lesson in there fight for the title this year.. And not to even mention the relationship between D. Wade the Great and Shaq-Superman -- these men have true respect for each others.. they are true champions on and off the court... MIAMI HEAT are the champions my friend and they will keep fighting to the end.... They are the champions they are champions of the world....... :applaud:

You can;t really predict next season's outcome. Another team could enter the race and make a bunch of good trades or signings in the off-season. Also I bet before this season started A LOT of people predicted San Antonio would win the championship after signing Michael Finley and Nick Van Exel. You can't really predict anything sensible until September really when teams get ready for the new season.

YESSS.Heat won now lets have a big party
Anyways this is a pay off for all their hard-work.They really did great as a team.Yes they have Shaq and Wade, but its team play that counts.Miami has that even without Wade somebody steps up and leads the team.Finaly Payton and Mourning got a ring, right at the end of their careers.Anyways this just shows
,how the Heat are a great team and really get a long. And Dallas just aren't lucky, they are always so close, but they lose right at the ending.Well better luck next time Dallas.

Do you guys think Mourning and Payton will retire after this? And also look at the decling Shaquille... I was shocked to see him post only 9 points in this important game. Heat right now is full of old superstars, I'm wondering how will they do next year. :S

PS. Pera, you should hv a space after periods or commas... Makes it easier to read :P

i just did :D besides, a healthy Manu & Duncan is all Spurs need.

All right, i watched the tape very carefully.....Wade got the benefit of 5 calls, bullshit calls that totalled 11points. Enough to swing the game? hell yeah, but in the end Mavs lack of execution and inability to box out is what cost them the game.

In this game Zo was CHUMP to the max.....he dunks, blocks or scores and he's flexing his muscles and hollering like he's the greatest player ever......where was this when he was getting scored on or too busy fouling?

Miami NBA Champions...YES....least humble team....you bet.

Surre liver transplant, my ass. Whined his way to getting traded from New Jersey and Toronto and winds up with a championship-bound Heat team. That was the lowest scheme I've seen in a while.

i would say these finals hurt nba basketball more than helped it. i have no interest in either team but watching how a team full of actors can beat a basketball team is pretty upsetting. playing 5 on 8, how could the mavs win? if you are on the same half court as wade you are fouling him from the way i saw it. worst officiating i have ever seen in any sport(i skip the world cup). the nba really needs to get thier shit together
