Lol there is a poll about which has the worst Officiating on ABC.
The FIFA World Cup or the NBA?
I watched the US game in FIFA and the announcers hoped the official would never officiate a game again.

Could it just be that each player he plays with is that much better than the last? ;)

Dwyane Wade>Kobe Bryant>Penny Hardaway.

It could be, but it isn't.

Penny > Kobe > Dwyane is more like it.

Zo sure likes to talk. I think the reporters might regret their eariler comments of "we have all the time in the world".

Definetly inspirational though... it's great to see that he got his ring.

Sidenote: anyone else thinking the Mavs might turn out to be the Jazz of the 90's? They keep experiencing playoff failures, but never win a ring. Avery says teams have to suffer losses like this to get better, but they've lost in the finals enough for 2 or 3 championships it would seem..

Found this at Yahoo
Nowitzki had a very unhappy birthday

By JAIME ARON, AP Sports Writer
June 20, 2006

DALLAS (AP) -- Dirk Nowitzki didn't exactly have a happy 28th birthday.

"It was one of the worst birthdays ever," he said Tuesday. "Nothing to really celebrate."

The big day was Monday, which began with his Dallas Mavericks coming off a 101-100 overtime loss to the Miami Heat that left them facing elimination. The team spent the night in Miami before flying home, but Nowitzki said he only slept about an hour.

Upon arriving home, the NBA had a rude birthday greeting for him -- a $5,000 fine for kicking a ball into the stands at the end of the game.

"The only good thing was that some of my family members were here, I was able to spend some time with them," Nowitzki said. "But I was still thinking about the game."

He said the fine didn't bother him, and it's understandable why.

Nowitzki makes around $14 million this season. That means he was fined the equivalent of $18 to someone making $50,000.

Props to everyone on the Heat, but this just doesn't feel right. It's like they didn't deserve it. I don't know why...

Shaq just said four more years... just guaranteed a repeat as well.

Agreed...his comments are a disrespect to Phil Jackson, kobe and lebron. Shaq should give it a frickin break.

How did the Heat not deserve it? Just because the Mavericks can't hit wide open shots they should be given a break? Nowitness Nowitzki CHOKE. Heat deserved this for sure.

posey was added to the team to be a perimiter defender i saw nothing of that this year
j will has been dubbed a cancer

posey was ineffective throughout the playoffs & finals
walker brought back that stupid ass shimmey when the game was already sealed before he nailed that 3 against detroit
jwill was up and down during playoffs

Probably because I didn't think of doing it last year, though I did make a post about it. I did make up a Mavs one as well (two actually, since they were made up at a point where they could've won in Miami or Dallas). No matter who won, I had a championship screenshot ready to go.

The most amazing thing about the Finals for me personally is the fact that I picked the Heat in six and Dwyane Wade to be the MVP before the series began. Add that to my prediction of the East winning the All-Star game in a close one with LeBron James as the MVP, and it's clear the jinx only affects the Bulls these days. Of course. :(

Anyway, the series isn't without its controversy but I still enjoyed it. Two games to close it out that came right down to the final possession, a couple of big wins by both sides and a couple of games with incredible come from behind runs. With all that's happened in the Playoffs this year, this is definitely my most enjoyable post-Jordan Playoffs. Sure, the Bulls were knocked out early but there's been some great basketball. A record number of overtime games, 3-1 and 0-2 comebacks, some great individual performance...great stuff. (Y)

Kinda looks like Shaq's arm slipped out the socket. For some reason it made me 'giggle' a bit.

Well, the Heat shut me up good. :| Ah well, soon enough, Shaq'll be gone. He's got his Miami title now. Wade alone will not be able to repeat.

Finally, a new champ! Congrats to Miami. I'm a bit disappointed in Dallas, though...

I cant ever doubt Wade again but i wouldnt bet on us with this same team and no Shaq but Wade has proven that even with alittle help he can lead a team.

As for the game Zo was an absoulte monster Haslem made key plays and Wade was just a Killa. I been wit the heat since Tim bug and Sasha Danilovic and every year I say that we will win it and it finally feels good to be right

Aren't Wade's Heat hovering at around .500 without Shaq?

That doesn't count for anything... it was at the very beginning of the season, and the players were just getting used to playing with each other. It's not like they lit it up when Shaq came back either... it took some time before they actually played well.
