When will the East win?

How many years do you think it will take the East to win a Championship? It's pretty obvious it will be the West next year again ( unless some crazy thing happen like kobe getting traded lol)

If Shaq, TD, and Kobe come to the East or if LeBron James makes a miracle happen, then we'll see the East win a championship :o

it will happen tomorrow. i guarantee it.

I believe if Kidd & Mourning get together in the east with the Heat/Nets, that's a team to have in consideration for a championship, not having in mind how Mourning can play but because the quemistry those 2 teams already have around.

Well I think the east will win when the Bulls get things going. They're not too far from the playoffs now, so a couple of years of first round exits, another player or two, and another exit from a deeper round, and the Bulls may be ready :D By that time chances are Eddy Curry will be the most dominant centre physically, and Chandler and Crawford are on the right path too. Rose might still be around. GO BULLS! :D

You never know the Cavs may get there if Lebron James is everything people think he is, and the Cavs build well around him. It'll take a good 5 years though.

You never know though, the Raptors were on their way, suffering some early playoff exits, and then getting deeper and deeper. They could have been that team had the progress continued, but things fell apart.

The rest of the teams in the east are probably as good as they're going to get, or maxed out financially, relying on the players they already have to develop. The Bulls aren't that far from the playoffs, yet their young guys have a considerable way to go in development. Other teams such as the Celtics or Pacers have players which are at or almost at their peak. Their go to guys aren't going to get much better, and the chances of signing good veteran (or non veteran) free agents are slim these days for eastern teams. It would take a massive shift of superstars from the west to east for any east team to win any time soon. Since that isn't going to happen, the most talented team has the best chance, and tha'ts the Bulls unless I'm forgetting someone?

The Pacers are on the right track. Tinsley's got a lot of work to do to help that. As do Bender and Harrington

The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to move East with the Hornets set to move West. Perhaps that would give the East a legitimate contender.

but if u r always eliminated in the first round in the west, does it really matter for the wolves to get in the finals in the east cuz they gonna think they can't wint from the west contender, cuz they already played those a lot of times without good results, i could be wrong but if u can't beat'm in the west i dont really think you can do it suddenly cuz u play in the east, win it all there(its not even sure that that will happen)and still be knocked out in the finals, though we all know when players get a lot of confidence(like winning it all in east)they play waaay better(if they dont let it get to their heads).
