I heard 'rumours' (=fan talk) that Atlanta plans to put Josh Smith to PF next season. My guess is that this would only work for about a month. After four weeks of banging with guys 4 inches taller than him, Smith will go locos and demand to put back to SF or else... We are talking about a 6'7 guy here. Athleticism or not, he has no post game and the skills he does have, make him better suited as a swingman.

i thought Josh Smith was 6'9''

They could be the next suns, you never know. They'd be killer on the fast break, the problem is they dont have a steve nash and they cant shoot 3's, lol.

NBA.com always loves to beef up the measurements of players for some odd reason. He's actually closer to 6'7 than to 6'9.

he has a long wingspan so it could work out. putting him closer to the paint would better utlilize his help side shot blocking skills and his best skill offensively is finishing around the basket. he'd probably have an easier time scoring on PF's as his face up game improves

though as pointed out already- strength would be an issue.

as long as ZaZa as the center, doesn't seem like such a good idea

Hey, they could always bring back Peja Drobnjak, lol.

I remember when he was with the sonics and they had Drobnjaks Manjaks (man yacks), he even had his own page on the sonics website just for them.

I don't know if you can say the Bulls, as they already made the playoffs. My pick is the Magic. One full year w/o Francis, lottery draft pick, free agency, plus the development of Nelson, Howard, and Darko will make for a decent year. The combo of Howard and Milicic creates a decent frontcourt on the defensive end. As long as Howard gets his touches, I feel they have a chance to sneak into the 7th or 8th seed.

Ya the Magic have a boatload of cap space to use since Penny Hardaways 15mil contract expired, perhaps they could sign Joel Pryzbilla and a good SG, that'd be a pretty good team.
