Kenyon Martin

Rumours are spread he will be traded this summer! Where do you think or hope they will go?

I hope he will either go to the Lakers just because I love the Lakers and Martin is one of my favorite players. or go back to NYN because he can play with kidd again.

maybe Denver is so eager to deal him away, but I guess they have to give up on Jefferson

I neither like nor dislike Kenyon Martin so I don't really mind where he goes. I do think he's overpaid though so I suppose I wouldn't be too keen on Chicago making a run at him. He would appear to have worn out his welcome in Denver though so unless some fences are mended he'a probably is on his way out, if not this offseason then maybe before the deadline next season.

Word is that Portland turned down a Denver offer of Martin for Zach Randolph. Thank goodness.

Kenyon Martin is a great interior defender, but he has almost nothing in his offensive repitoire other than dunking the ball and screaming in the other team's face.

He had a great run during his expiring rookie contract, but it wasn't convincing enough for me to give him the max.

He has a decent little short J. I only worry about injuries with this guy but I think he is a quality player. He is way overpriced but then again, who isnt? ...dont answer that.

NJ would be good for him. A RJ swap wouldnt be too bad an idea since Vince is there but then again Denver has Carmelo. Oh well. I dont really want him in LA since I have my eyes on other players. If nothing comes through then maybe.

Vince Carter in my opinion is the most likely to get moved if this was to actually happen. Denver does have 'Melo, but he's currently a pure SF like RJ. Vince can alternate to SG and he does have a decent jumper when he's not forcing things offensively. Denver needs a perimeter threat, which isn't exactly what Vince is, but its certainly an upgrade over Ruben Patterson.

I doubt that the Nets are going to trade Carter. From their point of view it would make no sense trading him for K-Mart and a couple of fillers. If it comes to negotiations, I think Jefferson is most likely to be included in the deal, but I doubt that there will be a trade between those teams in the off-season. The Knicks have more to offer what Denver is missing (solid perimeter players).

e.g.
Kenyon Martin for Jamaal Crawford and Jerome James or Quentin Richardson and Jerome James.

I dont really see why they would make a move for Jerome James since he has his contract and has no further motivation to perform.

Jerome James? Hell, I could probably out-run or out-jump him. That guy is the perfect example of a fat, overpaid, lazy, non-work ethical basketball player.

Just a guess, they could also trade Q-Rich or Crawford along with Quintel Woods to the Nuggets. I calculated the Knicks cap wrong so I included James' 5 millsion $ contract.

That sounds better. Crawford I would take, but not with Jerome James. Q-Rich is more or less untradeable because of his uninsured contract (chronically bad back).

Don't worry, I see it a strong possibility that you'll be seeing Zach Randolph in Utah (for Boozer).

I hope not, though. Boooooooooo (zer).

i hope he goes actually, so that a team might see something in him and trade for him-that would be good :D But he's not worh much with his injuries so i dont see a quality player being traded for a quality injury

No way would Kevin O'Connor approve of that trade. Utah was offered Chris Mihm and Devean George (or some other combination of players) for just Carlos Boozer and this was before he came back from the injury. Boozer's trade value went up quite a bit after he came back - averaged somewhere around 20 PPG, 10 RPG, and a 2/1 AST/TO ratio.

I hope he stays but if we can get something better out of him by trading him elsewhere than I won't have a problem with it - just keep Okur, Kirilenko, and Williams together, please.

I guess martin is'nt a very good player he's okay on defence with his fierce blocks and rebounds. on offence indeed he can only dunk but sure you have to love it.

I would really like for him to go back to Jersey and become a near all-star again. I think that would not only be the best place for him, but he would be happy there too.

Yeah to have K-Mart back in N.J would be fun, too many alley oops by him and Carter from Kidd, great entertainment.

There's nothing about the New Jersey water that's going to make him play like that again, Martin needs to back 2-3 years in physical wear & tear.

What's limiting his play is his body. When he does play for the Nuggets at 100% health, he's just as effective as used to be. But that's been maybe 1 month of this entire season all totaled together. He's a guy that plays hurt and doesn't mention it, so it looks like he's just been declining.

His broken leg at Cincinnati that kept him out of the NCAA tournament was pretty much a sad precursor to his career. It's real sad because he plays with so much passion & heart.
