I suppose it's fair enough given the precedent but I'm not a huge fan of suspensions when nothing was called in the game itself.

and what was with the suspension??? i saw the picture that was not a punch,they didn't even call that in the game and they give a suspension!!! i've seen some stupid calls and I find rarely any that surpass this!!!

This suspension is just wrong. The funny thing is Stu Jackson said that the foul on Kaman had no clear video evidence so Reggie Evans (was it?) did not get a suspension . Please tell me how this one has clear video evidence. And how does a person pick up on this anyhow if there was clearly no issue to begin with? Were they just desperately looking for a way to penalize the Mavs? I cannot help but think that for some reason Stu Jackson wants the Spurs to win. (I really don't see why they'd want the Spurs to win. Spurs pull in low ratings. Maybe they want a game 7) What other reason could there be?

It's true that the spurs don't pull in the best ratings but considering that mavs-spurs is the anticipated series at the moment (2 60+ wins teams here!!!), they might think game 7 would pull in monster ratings

yeah I mentioned the Posey incedent, but I didn't even think about the Kaman/Evans incident. that was ridiculous too... Stu Jackson needs to go away. And yes, unfortunatel I think it does have to do a little bit with the NBA needing ratings... they're trying to milk these playoffs for what it's worth... it's been the most exciting playoffs in a long time.

The league probably wants some extra income by hopefully forcing a game 7. What a load of shit... no matter though, the aging Spurs will not win the championship this year... their age has proven to be a detriment and will only hinder them more the deeper they make it into the playoffsa

Loved Avery Johnson's pre-game comments about grabbing below the belt being fine but punching's a no-go in regards to Terry's suspension. (Y)

A huge game from Dirk, a shame it had to come in a losing cause. I wasn't really keeping track of his rebounds throughout the game so I was amazed to see he had 18 of his 21 by the end of the third. The Spurs got the job done in the fourth though I thought the Mavericks had the game in control when they went on that run to take the lead at 81-80. Some really nice passing by Dirk during that stretch. That final shot with 5.5 seconds left can't have been what they wanted though, going for three wasn't a bad strategy but that wasn't a good attempt at all. Fun game to watch, shame they won't show Game 7 here.

Has anyone seen Dirk's career playoff stats? 25/10, baby, and it keeps getting higher. I love this guy, a true epitome of what a franchise player should be - clutch, consistent, hard working, unselfish, a winner and a terrific teammate. And he's still 27 years old (he'll turn 28 in June). This series just prove you how good he is and how he should be considered as one of the best ever.

Chris Sheridan: Dirk, hands down. What exactly has KG accomplished in his career other than signing such a huge contract that it caused the 1998-99 lockout? Dirk is a more complete player, except at the defensive end, and his team is a legit contender year after year after year.

yeah, but in my opinion the Mavs would have had the chance to win WITH terry. His supsension is just really hard and maybe a reason for Dallas loosing a streak, which they led 3-1 ...

Thats disappointing, Dallas is such a cool and good team

A "more complete player, except at the defensive end" seems like a contradiction to me. I see where he's coming from because Dirk's been one of the best players in the league this season but I don't think he's giving KG enough credit there.

looks like one of these teams are going to make a good mark in their record book, San Antonio has never recovered from a 2-1 deficit and Dallas looks to make what seems to be their first game 7 on the road, looks like Dallas got the bad end of the deal there.

experience and home court points to san antonio imo. but we'll see. I give dallas/dirk respect for their evolution though. td and san anton are still better.

Mavs already beat the Spurs once on their home floor, and were within just a few points in the other two. Home court won't play a huge factor in this, imho, because Dallas is a verteran team. Hopefully the Mavs pull this out, bc I will probably skip out on watching the Finals like I did last year if they make it.

in such a close series, the tiniest of edges could be the deciding factor. home court may not be exponential, but I think at the very least it can't be a negative. imo san antonio is going to step it up. either way its been a great series, but seriously i'm a spurs fan.... what do you expect me to say? :wink:

Well I'm very much looking forward to this game. The Spurs are veterans and this could be the tiny edge they need despite of having home-court advantage. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs win it though. They're really unpredictable. I'd say it will be close till the last couple of seconds.

Seriously, anything can happen in that game. There may have been few series in the past years that were so close and unpredictable. I just hope that Griffin takes better care of Ginobili this time.
