I'm glad they're again the favourities..cause the 3 games when they were..cavs won.

I didn't hate the Pistons like I do until now. They're so cocky and arrogant it's annoying. They have no respect for any team. It's annoying that they do not give the Cavs any credit. What happened to them? I remember back when the Pistons were just a hard working team that got things done not because of talent, but because of teamwork. They were NOT arrogant back then. Now all of a sudden, after that one championship they became assholes. Especially Rasheed Wallace, who was an asshole to begin with but I guess toned it down for just 1 season. I hope the Cavs can win them. I want to see the Pistons arrogance shattered.

I'm slowly becoming a Lebron fan again. He's been playing really great this postseason and I wouldnt be surprised if they beat Detroit. With that said I still believe Detroit wins but then again I never thought they would even be where they are now.

they went to a game 7 last year in the conference finals and this team might not have the depth and talent of last years miami but they got a player who's better than any player in a series(lebron) also their supporting cast aint too bad.... but still suprised to see detroit in a game 7

Wow, can you imagine how good Cavs would be if they spent all that money on an actual player (Joe Johnson, Michael Redd - I know, I know, but what if)? Nobody would want to double team James and his sidekick would be running around and shooting uncontested jumpshots whole day. This year all they would have to worry about is for what they should sign&trade Gooden. Now? They have one very bad contract (Hughes), one overpaid role player (Z), four decent to excellent bench players (Marshall, Flip, DJ, Pavlovic) and a potential starting and role playing PF (Varejao). If I were James, I would have a long talk with the owner and a GM about making some major tweaks this off-season.

It was a good game, though. It's not like Pistons crushed the Cavs, which only tells you that this series is still very much alive. But still, Pistons will win it.

Cavs would have won this game, but careless turnovers killed them. Even if the Pistons pull this series out, their "invincibility" status has definetly taken a hit.

murray and snow need to score a bit more. They only scored 4 and 2 points respectively... thats too little considering they played over 35minutes.

Not to be too harsh on LeBron because he's done a great job so far in the postseason and played a fine game but I thought he should've taken a three rather than the drive and dish attempt that ultimately ended up in the two free throws.

I don't want to count the Cavaliers out yet but given Game 7 is in Detroit and the Pistons have a history of making successful comebacks from being down 3-2 in recent years I'm not sure I like their chances. It's a shame because I too really don't care for the attitude of guys like Rasheed. I'm not saying it has to be a mutual admiration society but a little bit of class and respect wouldn't go astray.

i think i would've done the same thing he did. he was going full speed; there was no way he could pull up and get a decent shot off. all the attention was focused on him and damon jones was wide open in the corner. it's just unfortunate he went in too deep and got fouled.

When pulling up for a jumper at full speed, its best to try to lean back. That straightens your body up. I'm not going to dare critisise lebron, he's been unbelievable this playoffs, and to be honest, i wouldnt not be greatly shocked if they won game 7 in detroit. i wouldnt put money on the pistons either.

Lets be real here..who are the pistons? A loud mouth bald patch mofo, a underweight reggie miller wannabe, a lanky light skin wannabe all-star, a big gorrilla with an afro and a p diddy wannabe. who are the cavs? a prima donna, an over the hill PG who couldn't shoot his way out of a paper brown bag, an overpaid SG, a dumb as rocks PF, and a center who's probably taking steroids for his funny feet

anywho- i'll criticize Lebron James and Coach Mike Brown. James was settling for 3pt shot too much in the 3rd. He should have been attacking more like he was in the 4th

unless it's an defense to offense situation- Damon Jones has no business on the court. his defense is so bad he can't even stay in front of his reflection in the mirror. i point the finger at Coach Brown for putting Jones, which allowed Billups to have that great 4th qtr.

i will say that Brown's is in tough situation- he wants to have good defense/hustle type players like Snow & Varejao out there but that leaves the team with 2 bad offensive players on the floor. Larry Hughes not playing magnifies the problem

The lineup i'd go with is Illguskas, Gooden, Lebron, Flip and Hughes. let them win or lose game 7, with the exception of marshall who has played great as well.

that's a good lineup. but i'd put Snow in over Flip, or at least give the majority of the minutes to Snow since he is the only Cav that does a good job defending Billups

But you saw what having snow on the court does to cleveland on offense, billups can double lebron as soon as he puts the ball on the floor and snow cant hurt them. im not sure how efective hughes will be, but his jersey alone carries more respect than snow's jumpshot.

that's all true. but i'm saying to put in Snow instead of Flip Murray, not Larry Hughes

i think the Cavs have a better time overcoming Snow's ineffectiveness on offense when the other 4 players on the court can score. besides, Murray has been putrid himself on offense

Flip is still a threat on the floor though, and can make that catch and shoot shot or put it on the floor. If snow is paired up with snow, that could potentially be a problem becuase we dont know what hughes can give just yet, so the cavs could be reduced down to the 3 guys that can score. with flip, as bad as he's been, he still can score and it doesnt put pressure on hughes, he can focus on his defense first.

flips strength is creating shots for himself, slashing to the basket. not standing on the perimeter waiting for the pass- which he's been doing mostly since Pistons having been playing a lot of zone and Flip can't successfully get to the basket on the Piston perimeter players

Flip is supposed to be a perimeter 'scoring' threat but his last 5 baskets in the series have come off steals/and or transition... not in halfcourt situation.

ironcially Snow's last few baskets have come off perimeter shots and drives to the basket in halfcourt sets. and even if Snow is not perceived as a scoring threat, the detroit defense still rotates on him on kick outs, enabling Snow to make that extra pass to an open player

this series, Snow and Murray offensively have been just about a wash. Snow's better defense makes him more valuable, especially since he guards Detroit's best clutch player, and that is why i believe i he should be there over Murray

you lost me on the 'pair Snow with Snow' part but i will say that the Cavs won a few games with the Snow & Flip starting backcourt. maybe if Varajeo and Gooden could catch the ball better off a James brilliant pass, there wouldn't be this debate hehe

Win or lose, the Cavs have exceeded expectations with a solid season.

Nobody's going to remember them for blowing a 3-2 series lead, but honor a great postseason show from Lebron James.

Good job by the cavs making it this far against the pistons..but in the end..they just weren't a match. Hopefully this gives them confidence for the next season...and hopefully this gives other teams confidence against the pistons. I know the pistons won't learn any humilty after this series..and thats unfortunate.

In the end, it shouldn't be a disappointment to anyone that Cleveland's season is over.

For a series predicted to go to 5 games if the Cavs got lucky, a 7 game grand show in which the last few games were incredibly close.....spectacular.

This was the kind of game I was expecting throughout the series, but the Cavs really impressed me by forcing this into 7 games.
Well done by the Cavs to have achieved far more than they were expected to, but a much better team won in the end...
