Nice if it happens, seems to have gone stale in Minnesota but I don't like the prospect of what the Lakers would have to give up to get him (if it is Odom, Bynum, picks, whatever). Although it might be good for a 2 year championship fix.

A fair few teams want him, though logically not many have the pieces to actually obtain him. I'd say Dallas is the front runner if anyone, they have so many young tradeable players but my bet is that he starts next season as a Timberwolf.

Yeah the jersey switch is terrible, lucky for me i got it off another forum.
The jersey switch maybe awful but KG is lookin good in purple and gold.

Yeah, i see your point Jae but IMO waiting on Bynum could probably be a waste of Kobe's prime.

KG is still a pipe dream though.

If the Lakers find a way to get KG and keep Odom(and Kobe of course), they could own the west. But that's not happening.

Of course it's not happening. Lakers need Odom not only to give a player with value but also to match salaries.

Wow, nobody saw this one coming . Let's predict Riot's behaviour for the next couple of weeks. I'm going with denial first and anger second, then he'll godreaming about KG for KB trade and he'll drop dead once Garnett gets traded for Tyson Chandler, Luol Deng and Chicago's second #1.

The rumour has it that Odom, Bynum and Mihm/George plus pick(s) for KG, but majority of Laker fans don't want to trade Bynum, because he's the new Kareem and will be teh pwn. IMO, there's no chance in hell that this trade happens. If I'm Minessotta and trading of KG is unavoidable, I'm trading his ass out of conference to the highest bidder and Bulls are the right fit. They have the right contracts, picks, cap space and young talent to make it happen. Gee, what's there to think about? Odom, Andrew bloody Bynum and late first round picks on one side and Tyson Chandler, a guy like Ben Gordon and a possible no.1 overall pick (and perhaps they can get also the Knicks' next years #1)?

KG to Bulls seems most attractive from Minny's perspective. Atlanta has talent & cap space as well, as do the Magic.

Early in the season there was a reported Rasheed + Darko for KG deal...probably as close to an even deal as Minny will ever get.....personally i'm glad that those were just rumours.

The Magic? Who would they trade? Grant Hill's contract, Darko and this years pick? If they offer anything more than that (DH12, Jameer), KG will be sent into the same situation as he is now. Also, Chicago is his hometown - another reason to be sent there.

Well to break it up:

KG to Charlotte:
Trading KG to Charlotte for Okafor and Wallce or Okafor and Felton might work cap-wise. For the Wolves it would be a fair trade because they get a promising Rookie and a young PF/C or SF. But I don't think that Charlotte would agree because they are giving up way too much for an aging superstar.

KG to Chicago:
Would be nice but I don't think the Bulls can free enough salary space. A trade Chandler + Deng would not succeed as the salarys don't match at all. Also I think the Wolves may insist on involving Gordon or Hinrich in the trade.

KG to New York
KG and Jaric for Francis, Frye and Crawford (or Malik Rose)
Might work and may be a good choice for both teams. The Knicks would get a better frontcourt and the Wolves could start Frye and Griffin, with Francis as PG.
Is likely to happen if the Knicks decide to give up Frye.

KG to the Lakers:
Well also a possibility. Good for Garnett but really bad for the Wolves. They get a promising youngster with Bynum and a decent Forward with Odom, but none of them are nearly worth the same as KG.

KG to San Antonio:
KG for Ginobili, Udrih and Nesterovic. Well it might work on paper, the Wolves would get a solid Guard with Ginobili and a young PG with Udrih. But Ginobili is over 30 too and I don't think the Wolves want to build a team around him (and I don't think he's a real franchise player)

KG to Dallas:
Well it might work if Dallas includes Josh Howard and maybe Jason Terry. But I don't think the Mavs are willing to give up Howard.

KG to Orlando:
No way this will happen without including D. Howard.

Well my top three possibilities are:
1. KG to New York
2. KG to Chicago
3. KG to LA

Feel free to question everything I wrote ;)

hmm this one sounds most likely, if it's going to happen-i dont think it will work out with the bulls either, the wolves will probably try to bring Gordan into it. who wouldn't

Whichever team gets him (except for NY) is going to lose so much in terms of talent that they really wouldn't be gaining much or losing at all.

I can't agree with you totally.
Chicago and LA could make up for this. Chicago has a lot of young Talent and they do not have to give up their team entirely. With Chandler gone, they get KG in Return and when Luol gets traded they still have Nocioni at the SF spot. But if they have to trade Gordon or Hinrich it would be too much for them.

LA might give up Bynum and Odom, but for KG in return the loss of Odom is acceptable. The only problem I see considering this trade is that the Wolves will not get something good out of this trade.

Even if this is true the Timberwolves have a bit of time up their sleeve as far as KG's contract is concerned. I don't believe someone of Garnett's character would sabotage his team and play half-hearted to force a deal thus the possibility remains of a reconciliation.

YES!!!!!!!!!

They's probably want Granger substituted for Jax though, and I wouldn't do that.

Indy, was that a sarcastic or "agreeing" YES? :?:  Hm..I don't like trading Danny too..He'll become the next Pippen :P I suppose it's up to Donnie and Bird to use their charms and get the job done ..But after seeing the interview with Bird other night i doubt anything big will happen in Indianapolis..Well, at least i can hope  I really hope they get rid of Jax and Tinsley..what about salary-wise, is this trade possible (O'neal, Jackson, Tinsley <-> KG)? :?

KG's contract will be a bitch. But Chicago is probably a likely destination since they can trade some youth, a pick and i don't think salaries will be that difficult because Bulls will be under the cap (?)
